Client: CVS Caremark (now CVS Health), Scottsdale, AZ

Duration: October 2012 –November 2014

Designation: Sr. Business Analyst

Job responsibilities and Project overview

Worked in over 6 different projects for, Plan Automation and adjudication (reimbursements, dispensing fees, deductibles, OOP's, MOOP's etc.), Flag changes for Drug dispensing, System Migration from QL to Rx CLAIM, Health Code validation and Consumer driven health Manual Reporting, XML translation to benefit case for client AETNA and, Client Definition Schema creation and its upgrade into Web application

For each project worked with the Project Manager during Initiation to complete Adjudication checklist to assess, the risk status and resources break down of the project.

Since we had over 9 tracks, scope analysis was a major part and as a Lead of Client Benefit Automation track, my role was to help drill to what is feasible to be scoped in for the Requirements Analysis

The projects were very high stake, so after working with Project Manager, lead of each track would take the consolidated scope list to the business partners and be involved in extensive Planning phase to thoroughly discuss about feasibilities, implementations, new business demands etc., at the end of which Approvals was secured.

After receiving approval from the business, I would work with Project manager to officially kick off the project.

Post kick off meeting, me as the Lead of Client Benefit automation Team would set up a follow up meeting with fellow BA’s to intake the Scope list and divide work so that different line items were distributed accordingly.

After the intake of Scope items, I would schedule recurrent bi weekly meeting each week for Requirements vetting and analysis with the business as well as bi-weekly agenda meeting to set agendas prior to the business meeting.

When we encountered scope creep I conducted all day JAD session involving stakeholders, development team, project manager as well as BA team to make up for lost productivity.

Since system consolidation and migration was integral part of the requirements, I worked on large number of GAP analyses and created business process flow to depict the gap.

For Benefit automation project, XLS file called Client Definition Schema was automated to a Web application and as a Lead BSA for it, I was involved in creating UI mockups as well as Master Use Case document.

For client AETNA, analyzed their XML file to be cross mapped to Client Definition Schema.

For any given project in CVS, several BA’s were working on Requirements elicitation at one time which is why everyone would maintain their own draft document for ease; however as a Lead my responsibility was to create a master document at the end of Requirements to consolidate all the draft versions into one central document.

After Requirements completion, conducted Requirements Handout meeting to debrief Requirements to the Business, Development as well as QA team.

Conducted User Acceptance Testing for the Client Definition Schema Web application.

Others

Followed strategic approach to ensure HIPAA compliances as well SEP protocols (internal protocol) are met during requirements elicitation and artifacts creation.
