SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Fluently speak, write and read Spanish. Microsoft Office, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Infrared Spectrophotometer (solid and film), Gas chromatography and Mass spectrometer, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), microscope use in medical laboratory settings, and HPLC. Confortable use of pipettes, micropipettes, graduated cylinders, volumetric flask, pH measurement, TLC, titration, analytical balance and all glassware used in analytical chemistry and during organic synthesis.
EXPERIENCE
STM-RESEARCH, University of Mary Washington
08-2015 TO 07-2016
The goal of Study of Absorbate-Absortate onto graphite was to obtain image of graphite and the possible interaction between fatty acid-graphite and fatty acid-fatty-acid. I was able to obtain well-resolved images of graphite while the images of the interaction were random and not uniform as they were expected.
SALE ASSOCIATE, DSW-Designer Shoe Warehouse
07-2013 TO 06-2014
I was responsible to receive and distribute the incoming products before the store open by placing them at key location for easy accessed and fast turnover. As a sale associate, I tried to solve any problem or question from the customers. I was responsible for preparing the Internet sale for delivery.
POLYMER SYNTHESIS FOR AGRICULTURE, Kean University
05-2011 TO 10-2011
I was able to synthesis a polymer that was able to absorb a limited amount of water, however; I wasn’t able to test its ability to burst. The polymer will have been use to deliver pesticides, or vitamin in agriculture. One of the key aspects of the polymer was it ability to self-burst when specific amount of water was uptake it.
RARITAN BAY MEDICAL CENTER, Perth Amboy NJ
05-2009 TO 04-2010
During the internship at Raritan Bay Medical Center as Medical Laboratory technician, I was able to perform the same tasks as any of my mentors at the different sub-discipline such as Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pathology, Immunology and Phlebotomy.
