Role Description:

Group Financial Accountant responsible for the functioning of Accounts and Finance functions.

Responsibilities:

Generation of multiple MIS Reports to assist the Management to take timely and effective decisions. Some of the MIS reports that are being generated by me are;

1.Budget Vs Actuals variance Analysis.

2.Weekly Terminal Productivity Analysis. This report shows the utilization of the terminals. This indicates a potential decrease/increase in the direct revenues.

3.Weekly Commission Analysis: This is to show the proportion of the business that is being generated from different card providers that is AMEX, VISA and DINERS.

4.Reconciliation of swiped amounts from eCash & Actual receipts to identify any revenue leakages and to carry necessary follow-ups.

Ensuring that all statutory and tax provisions are fully complied with and necessary reports are filed well within the due dates. Some of the statutory and compliance roles that are undertaken by me are;

1.Filing of quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) Returns with ATO.

2.Filing of monthly PAYG with ATO

3.Filing of Annual Financial Statements with ASIC.

4.Updating ASIC with any changes to the shareholding/directorship.

Responsible for overall Accounts and Finance administration of two subsidiary companies and was leading a team of 10 members of Accounting and Finance departments.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of MIS reports: Responsible for Weekly, Quarterly & Yearly MIS reports to top management on financial performance viz., Funds Management, Sales & Profitability Analysis, and Working Capital Estimates. Financial Planning & Budgetary Control: As a group Company to each SPV, I had to prepare yearly Budgets & Variance analysis based on actuals. Finalization of Financial statements: Responsible for finalization of financial statements for the subsidiary companies.

Preparation of project reports for financing: Responsible for preparing all Project Reports which are necessary for Project Financing.

Dealing with banks for finance: This involves mainly getting finance from Financial Institutions by preparing CMA data which mainly concentrates on Profitability & also Debt /Equity.

Liasioning with statutory Auditors: Was responsible for coordination with the statutory auditors in the finalization of financial statements.

Coordination with group Companies: Coordination in connection with Inter -Company reconciliation, Finalization of Accounts, at the time of preparing budgets & other relating matters.

IFRS: Involved in the first time conversion of last three years financial statements of the entire Group prepared as per IGAAPs to IFRS within a span of 2 months.

Checking whether the appropriate withholding tax has been deducted on all the concerned amounts.
