General Electric Aviation

Evandale Ohio 45241

To whom it may concern:

I am writing to you for the advertisement of the Production Assembler Mechanic position. It would be a pleasure to meet with you so that I might demonstrate how my abilities fit your needs precisely.

As you'll see from my resume, I have more than 20 years of experience assembling parts for these complex machines. After determining how the parts should connect, I use hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and make other adjustments to make components fit together and align properly.

What my resume does not reveal is my professional demeanor and appearance. In a business environment, these qualities are of the utmost importance in dealing with management as well as co-workers. In me, you’ll discover a reliable, detail-oriented, and extremely hard-working associate one that will serve as a model to encourage other staff members to demonstrate the same high standard of professionalism.

I am eager to meet you and hopefully, to join your team at General Electric Aviation. Thank you for taking a moment to read my cover letter and consider me for the position. I would welcome working alongside other aircraft system assemblers at your company.

Sincerely,

Carroll McBroom
