OBJECTIVE: Seeking an opportunity in the field of Mechanical Engineering with challenging work environment to utilize my industrial, academic and research experience effectively for company growth. Work Experience:

1) Hyundai Motors India Engineering, R&D, India (Domain: Crash) Aug 2010 – July 2013 Roles & Responsibilities

Knowledge of Crash regulations such as IIHS, RCAR, US-NCAP, FMVSS

Performed Frontal and rear impact crash tests using LS-dyna

Experience in Static side impact test.

Experience in Crash simulation and Post processing (Using hyper view & Hyper graph) of full vehicle considering various regulations to maintain the safety standards.

Knowledge of FE gate for creating Spot-weld, seam weld, adhesives.

Developed FEA models for all the assemblies of BIW (all segment cars including commercial vehicles), Full vehicle modelling and powertrain assembly components using Hypermesh Pre-processor according to the provided standard guideline (3D and 2D modelling).

Responsible for work execution, planning, organizing, improving the effectiveness and productivity of engineers through knowledge sharing.

Projects:

Frontal and Rear impact regulation analysis and results comparison for different designs of BIW

Side Door Strength FMVSS214 regulation analysis, improved performance of Impact Beam by 10.5% by cutting down mass and redesigning the shape

Optimisation of crush box behaviour

Improvements and development of energy flowing paths by suggesting improvised designs

Involved in weight reduction of BIW using different optimising techniques

Drop test to check the joint behaviour in chassis of full vehicle

Standardization of different mesh representations

Normal mode analysis of full vehicle

2) The University of Texas at Dallas

Research Assistant Feb 2014-April 2016

Designed the total experimental set up in Creo (Pro/E), AutoCAD

Investigated drag reduction on super hydrophobic surfaces. (Project # 300-***-****, funded by Office of Naval Research, ONR)

Analysed condensation patterns on engineered surfaces to improve the heat transfer coefficient

Reviewed Central Solar Power Plant, proposed an innovative idea to use the Solar plant in all seasons

Modelled and analysed the heat absorbed by solar water heaters using MATLAB

Mentored students, graded papers, Delivered lectures, Proctored examinations as a Teaching Assistant for AutoCAD and HVAC

Technical Projects:

Finite Element Analysis:

Performed finite element analysis for a cantilever beam element subjected to end load using Quadrature mesh, Triangular mesh with the help of MATLAB and ANSYS

Analysed deformation and stress using Gauss 2X2 quadrature methods varying the mesh sizes

Studied and compared the solution with analytical solution SAE BAJA INDIA, National Level Competition of All Terrain Vehicle:

The project involves designing (using AutoCAD, Creo) and fabricating of an All-Terrain Vehicle which qualified different standard tests and participated in race on all terrain racing track

Contributed to the design of the structure of the vehicle and in the analysis of the static loads, structure analysis, Kinematics

Experienced in GD & T

Served as Vice President for Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Flow Curves from Indentation Experiments:

Evaluated important properties, such as strain hardening exponent and strength coefficient of stainless steel as a function of heat treatment

An attempt was also made in converting Meyer hardness Vs average strain curve to a flow curve in uniaxial tensile/compression test by applying constraint factor (CF)

Presented the paper in International Conference on “A Novel Method of Evaluating Flow Curves from Low Cost Indentation Experiments for Stainless steel”. Academic Projects:
