EXPERIENCE

DEAN OF INSTRUCTION AND STUDENT SUPPORT, E3 CIVIC HS 2015 - 2016 I worked to improve student achievement and restoring students to their original graduation track by tracking and reporting data to progress and completion of the credit recovery program with Apex Learning Systems and improved the courses completed for semester credit from zero the previous year to 68 students achieving 146 credits in this academic year. I worked to support students increase their lexile levels by track and reporting students data of the recently implemented Achieve 3000 reading program. I worked to help families increase student attendance systemizing parent contacts and recovering ADA by supporting completion of independent study contracts. Additionally, I supported PSAT testing for and practice ACT testing. I supported faculty all department school with the implementation of the school’s peer observation program focused on student engagement. I created an effective system addressing teacher absences with Google calendar that efficiently supported visiting teachers access to teacher created digital lesson plans and materials.

INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE SYH 2006 - 2015 Supervised and monitored student discipline and attendance, and worked with student registration. Supported for early intervention efforts by working with counselors, parents, students, teachers, outside resources and the administrative team. Co-writer and Focus Group Leader for the school WASC Report. Organize school and community teams to address the accreditation process that included collecting data (surveys and focus groups), addressing indicators, and leading interview sessions. I developed the staff development for implementing the Apple Mobile Labs to enhance student learning as evidenced by multimedia project artifacts. IN-SCHOOL SUSPENSION TEACHER, SYHS, SUHSD 2006 – 2008 I co-founded and taught in the ISS program for San Ysidro High School. I coordinated the school administration and classroom teachers to track data and assignments to reintegrate at-risk students back into the mainstream school community. We recovered many days of ADA with the success of this program. I was selected because of my unique ability to provide structure to students who may need additional assistance in this area.
