Project 1: (PELICAN) Pennsylvania’s Enterprise to Link Information for Children Across Networks (Mar 2016 – Till Date)
General Description:
PELICAN is the ‘Department of Human Services’ initiative to integrate the department’s child care programs under a single management information system. All child care services information is managed in PELICAN. I am working as .Net Developer for PSS (Provider Self Service) phase-3. As part of PSS team, I am involved in enhancement of existing web application. As part of this initiative we are adding new screens, functionality and expanding responsiveness feature to interconnected application page by making it compatible for all devices like mobile, tablets and different sizes of computer screens. PSS is like a dashboard application which will enable child care services provider to connect various child care information systems.
Responsibilities:
Implemented new functionality of web applications using VB as programming language.
Upgraded web UI for application to accommodate different styles and work flow based on user type.
Increased responsive of screen using bootstrap and media query for different screen resolutions.
Used JQuery and Java Script for client side validation.
Designed new screen for performing CRUD operations of email entries by consuming WCF service.

I worked there as .Net developer as part of development and testing team. The task was to modify the existing functionality of the application by enhancing the application/tool with Email and Messaging feature for mobile devices.
