Professional Experience:

Senior Quality Engineer at WorleyParsons (Owner’s Engineer) Jan 2014 – Dec 2015 Project – 1,071 MW Prai Combined Cycle Power Plant Malaysia As Senior Quality Engineer in this US$ 600 million project, I managed all quality processes for Construction and Commissioning of two Siemens Single Shaft Power Trains each consisting of Siemens SGT5 8000H Gas Turbine, SGen 3000W Generator, SST 5000 Triple Pressure Steam Turbine, and Doosan Benson type HRSG’s. The common plant consist of once through Seawater Cooling System, Black Start Diesel Generators, 275kV and 132 kV GIS, Fuel Gas Line and Compressors, Fuel Oil Storage Tanks, Unloading/Forwarding Bay, Water Treatment Plant, Raw, Service and Demineralized Water Storage Tanks, Power and Process Piping, Fire Fighting Systems, HVAC, Steel Structures and other typical Combined Cycle BOP for Dual Fuel Turbines. Responsibilities were included but not limited to:

Project – Steam Generation Boiler in Banias Refinery As Quality/Welding Supervisor handled the jobs in Banias Refinery which was an EPC project for installation and commissioning of 1 140 ton/hr boiler.

Earned value & Key Achievements:

Prepared technical proposal to the project management team and client which succeeded in gaining US$2 million Variation Order, the result of a technical change scope related to the Boilers and Generators.

Monitored the welding defect rate and taken the preventive actions which resulted in decreasing defect rate by 60%.

Project – Karkheh 3 133MW Hydro Power Plant

As QA/QC Engineer worked to implement ISO requirements, corrective/preventive actions based on the NCRs and audit findings, inspection of fit up, welding, Preheating, PWHT, pipe line sandblast & coating, NDT, hydrostatic testing, material inspection/traceability, and handing over to the client. Project – Fuel Transmission Pipeline and Gas Compressor Station Worked as QA/QC Engineer for transmission gas pipeline system, gas compressor station and fabrication of jackets and platforms for offshore part of project.
