Selected Achievements
Sr Manager Ingram Micro
Saved $34M and stabilized Global infrastructure environments. Our worldwide DCs were sharply
impacting bottom lines, with equipment past end of life and people services rising in cost. The
solution was to procure 3 globally distributed colocation DCs. I directed the procurement of facilities,
equipment, services, then program managed migrations to new DCs in Chicago, Singapore, Frankfurt.
Saved $18M by proactively identifying that our partners mainframe charge back methodology was
not being aligned properly to actual cost of operations. The solution was to educate the partner in
MIPS modelling to charge by utilization versus set costs where we paid for what we did not use.
Saved $14M+ at the same time improving partner performance and services. The contractors, both
outsourced and domestic, were exceeding budget expectations 27%+ monthly. My solution was to
convert all outsourced T&M to Fixed Price w/SLAs and mentor all outsourced partners. I also set
schedule eliminating domestic contractors and educated staff to manage through Service Levels
SLAs.
Sr Portfolio Executive Chicago Housing Authority
Eliminated budget overruns at the same time improving Project Manager utilization. The City of
Chicago was hurting due to frozen budgets; cost overruns and mis-alignment/utilization of resources
to manage projects. I was brought on and executed the implementation of the EPMO, at CHA, across
technology/ business operations, and, mentored / instructed teams for PMI-PMP certification.
Consultant GE, NBC, Wells Fargo, Infosys, Satyam, TCS ..
Expanded customer service capability for 5 U.S. IT contracting providers establishing multiple
Offshore Support/Development facilities utilizing Outsource, Share and Captive models Avg 55%
cost take out.
Director General Electric
Spearheaded the GE global outsourcing initiatives: internationally coordinating 12K FTE, 11
Suppliers and 5 Countries - sourcing strategy, evaluations, selections and final negotiated agreements
- this collaboratively with key peer GE leaders, per corporate directive. Future worldwide expansion
dictated GE utilize, and make available, the best global IT resources to all of its business verticals.
Solution was to engage best of breed suppliers worldwide and drive partnerships.
