Rocky Mountain Region Ambassador American Cancer Society January 2002 – December 2004
• Visited Washington DC on behalf of the ACS. Spoke to Senators and Congressman about need for legislation and funding for cancer research.
• Met with elected officials in Utah to discuss concerns and press for legislation vital to the eliminating cancer.
• Spoke to several different ACS regions about cancer and its effects. Gave tips and ideas about team recruitment and fund raising for Relay for Life events
• Gave presentation to several collage classes. Discussed need for Cancer research, side effects of treatments, and need for improved treatments.
• Kept an accounting of donations and team fund raising for over 15 relay teams.
Relay for Life Co-Chairman American Cancer Society July 2002 – June 2003
• Organized and achieved a successful North Utah County Relay for Life. Over $40,000.00 was raised to aid cancer patients in the intermountain area.
