As an owner/operator of my own auto repair shop, I supervised 7 employees, while also performing auto maintenance tasks. We repaired and serviced about 100 cars per week. I maintained the business myself doing jobs such as maintenance, dry wall, electrical, plumbing, roofing, heating and cooling, carpentry, and cement. I also took responsibility of the banking, accounting, and budgeting duties of my business.

Took over startup operation and joint venture three months from production of metal parts for Sony. Upon my arrival, there were no operating permits and only 220 volt power with 270 amps while the plant needed 440 volts and 300 amps. I helped improve plant operations and we were able to meet Sony’s production needs. I oversaw the installation of 9 press pads, 9 presses from 20 tons to 600 tons, 2 steel feeders - 11 ga, 40 ton water cooling system, 2 air compressors - 270 hp, 12 robot arc welders, 16 spot welder, 6 NC machining centers, 4 NC finishing mills, 4 NC grinder, 1 coating line, 1,000,000 BTU heat treating furnace. I also hired over 200 employees. Plant closed due to Sony moving its production lines.

Responsible for plant Management of 700 employees and over 1,000 machines; including 2 melt furnaces, 12 die casters, 6 presses, from 600 tons to 1,000,000 tons, 12 NC machined over 1/4 mile long each, and 8 assembly lines. We doubled the plant size, and installed 4 assembly line 6 NC machining line and 4 presses during my time at MACI. We also implemented during this time ISO and QS 9001, 9002, 9003, and 14001 and Total production Maintenance programs. We became the first plant in North America to win the Total Production Maintenance Award,(TPM). We used Kanban, JIT, Kazan, and Supplier involvement programs to make this happen. We met all production and Quality goals, while supplying Toyota, Honda, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, BMW, Chrysler, Mercedes Benz and others with over 2,000,000 Automotive Compressors a year.
