HSE Lead and Technical Safety Specialist for the project. Delivering technically correct reports to Client, supervising all safety, environmental, ergonomics, etc aspects of the UZ750K project design. Defining the SoW for the Contract for all the safety studies during bidding. Supervising the HSEIA-II and HSEIA-III Safety Studies for ADNOC submission (inlc. QRA, FERA, EERA, ESSA, CFD using Exceedance Analysis, Dropped Object, F&G, RAM, PFP, Fire water, Environmental Baseline Survey, Hydrodynamic Modelling Study, Waste Management Plan, EIA, SIMOPS study, Human Factors, Written Scheme of Examination, Performance Standards, ADNOC submission, IVB Report, etc). Prepared many Technical Risk Quantification Notes using event trees and reliability/probabilistic calculations for e.g. PFP assessment for jet fires using QRA input, reliability/availability assessment for need of relief valve on the inlet flowlines, etc). Petrofac Safety Specialist (TA) for Various Projects and Proposals Provided safety specialist support on many onshore, offshore, and refinery Petrofac Projects/Proposals. Provided support on many Client enquiries, Contract clarification, Legislation interpretation and provided guidance on a significant number of Petrofac Proposals.

Reviewed and provided advice on many QRA/FERA/EEERA/RAM/etc studies on cost implications to the Proposal or Project (e.g. on PFP, blast protection, equipment redundancy, etc). Prepared various RAM models to test various design options. Provided many ideas on how to reduce unnecessary blast protection as well as PFP coverage on structures/Buildings, which resulted in significant savings for Petrofac and Client. Provided preliminary blast overpressures using PHAST, GAMES methodology, etc. Provided expected CFD blast loads during the Proposal stage, based on experience (and basic PHAST modelling), which were proven to be extremely accurate (e.g. on ZADCO Proposal the estimated blast loads were extremely accurate, resulting in a very competitive Bid, which eventually Petrofac won).

Chaired various preliminary or ad hoc HAZOP/HAZID/SIL (LOPA)/SIMOPS workshops. Provided many practical solutions which significantly helped in reducing costs, for e.g.: o Laggan Tormore Project, TOTAL (Approx value $1 Billion) Provided safety specialist support on all TRA (Technological Risk Assessment) studies, such as QRA, DRA, PRA and also CFD Blast analysis, RAM, etc. Significantly assisted in solving various safety, environmental, explosion, RAM, etc, technical queries (e.g. provided coincidental failure reliability calcs).
