Researcher- researching part/ serial numbers for aircraft parts and researching part numbers to see what are their functions on the plane. Researching different websites to get a good idea on part prices and to find different vendors.
Mechanic- teardown aircrafts for parts to sell, wheel teardown for repair to be put back into service, and bead blasting wheels to strip paint and coating off to see if the wheel is damaged and will need repaired or not.
Vendor- making telephone calls to different machining shops to get quotes on projects that we need made. Calling labs to get quotes on projects material identifications, surface treatment (verifying Coating), and Hardness. Making sales orders, purchase orders, packing list, and invoices.
Shipping- preparing our products for shipping to be sent to our customers and actually shipping the products off.
Inventory- inventorying serviceable parts that I teardown off of aircrafts and inventorying parts that we have had made.
PMA Packs- Packets that I get together to send to the FAA for approval so we can get the parts made that companies need. The packet includes IPC’s, maintenance manuals, pictures of the part, dimensions of the part, Test data sheets, blueprints, and various other items to complete the PMA packs.
