Cold Energy Systems - Chief Operating Officer Silver Spring, MD - Tokyo, Japan 2015 - Present COO for an international company (www.coldenergysystems.com) with the primary focus being the development and sale of contaminated water storage tanks for use at the Fukushima nuclear disaster site, in Japan.

• Provide relationship management and project overview to our consortium of fabricators, material suppliers, and other partners.

• Responsible for developing use and logistics plans for input materials, including steel and filler material from suppliers’ mills in Europe and South America.

• Coordinated seven tank fabricators, from across the United States, in the final development of the contaminated water storage tank design.

Larned State Hospital - Chief Operations Officer Larned, KS 2015-2016 COO for a 500 bed, state psychiatric hospital, including the Psychiatric Services Program, State Security Program, and the Sexual Predator Treatment Program, located on a 100 acre campus, with the primary duties of oversight and management of Support Services and Hospital Operations.

• Responsible for the daily management of the hospital’s support services, and 250 employees working in the departments of Safety and Security, Engineering, Environmental Services, Food Services, Laundry, and Information Technology.

• Oversaw the $10 million support services budget and monitored the impact of Operations on the overall $65 million Hospital Budget.

• Advised senior leadership on operational issues and worked with them to help develop solutions for the medical and nursing staff shortage.

American Red Cross - Disaster Program Manager Garden City, KS - KS/NE/SW IA Region 2013-2015 Served as the American Red Cross Disaster Program Manager for the Western Kansas Chapter, prior to its elimination. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of Red Cross Disaster Services to the communities in a 33 county area and managing a cadre of volunteers and paid staff that worked to provide those services.

• Ensured interface with community leaders, corporations, businesses, and government agencies.

• Responsible for assessing needs and applying the proper Red Cross program response to disasters and emergency situations in the Western Kansas Territory. Acted as initial Red Cross Incident Commander.
