EXPERIENCE

Global Resources International (GRI), Flowery Branch, GA 2009 to Present GRI is a high growth contract medical manufacturer and distributor with facilities the U.S., China, Vietnam and Europe.

Director, Global Supply Chain – (2011 to Present) Had global responsibility for Forecasting, Logistics, Inventory, Distribution, Purchasing, Raw Materials, Transportation and Client Services. Managed 8 direct reports and 15 staff for this high growth contract manufacturer of branded and non-branded medical products with over 5,000 SKUs. Reported to the Chief Executive Officer. Was previously Director of US Operations for a brief period prior to current position. Accomplishments:

• Delivered $500k in cost savings in 2015 through a number of initiatives including negotiating cost with global freight carriers and key raw material vendors; moving company IT services to a local service provider which saved money as well as improved the companies growing IT needs; reduced head count through moving a handful of key positions to our Pacific Rim operations while updating the company’s communications infrastructure using state-of-the-art phone systems and media.

• Established and oversaw the completion of GRI’s Dominican Republic manufacturing facility eliminating redundancy in several core capabilities that were relocated from several Pacific Rim operations. GRI was able reduce the overall lead time by 5-6 weeks to several strategic clients as well as close a new $4MM business opportunity while complying with Trade Agreement Act.

• Implemented a new forecasting tool and process internally and for strategic clients. As a result, GRI was able to improve our global fill rate goal from 85% to 95% as well as educate the clients on the importance of forecasting, capacity planning, etc.

• Established and setup GRI's Global Distribution Centers (D.C’s) strategically across Europe, United States & Asia through building strong relationships with key third party logistics providers (3PLs) which allowed GRI to improve their on time delivery.

• Oversaw the implementation of two recent US manufacturing facilities. Both operations were used as incubators for companies that either did not have enough volume to justify producing at one of GRI’s global facilities and to reduce redundancy to our global operation/footprint which allowed us to produce more short runs to meet clients urgent needs.
