Lead a Six Sigma/Lean Management Project to stream line the material flow process.

Control inventory levels of raw materials and purchased parts to be used in production. Also responsible for the MRO purchasing. Keep necessary parties apprised of significant purchasing activities as well as trends, changes and events that impact the business as a whole. Particularly the London Market Exchange (LME).

Successfully supported a 300% growth in production within a one year time period, using the same headcount that we started with, by streamlining the processes, through lean implementations.

NORDAM, (Aerospace) Tulsa, OK September 2008 – March 2011

Supply Chain Manager/Co-Project Manager SAP Implementation

Business Lead in SAP implementation project. Co-Project Manager for R/3 implementation.

Received the “Outstanding Performance Award” in 2009 at the NORDAM transparency division.

While serving as the Supply Chain Manager at the NORDAM Transparency Division, we implemented a robust inventory control program, which raised the inventory accuracy from 40% to 99%; increasing on-time delivery from 64% to 98%; implemented a new shelf-life program that resulted in zero outages; implemented a new cycle count program, introduced barcode and the use of wireless scanners to the NORDAM Transparency Division. (These accomplishments are documented on the "Quality Digest" website in an article written by Eric Clower on 3/12/2010.)

While at NORDAM, reduced material costs by 15%, reduced actual material cost by $1.3 million, reduced the annual spend by 50% through negotiations, continuous improvements, competitive bidding, switching vendors, and cost avoidance. (These accomplishments are documented on the "Quality Digest" website in an article written by Eric Clower on 12/9/2009.)

At NORDAM, using my Lean Six Sigma experience, I led a team to successfully rebuild the warehouse and infrastructure within the warehouse itself, which included a new warehouse numbering system, new racks and shelves, added additional square footage, including barcoding and the addition of wireless scanners.

Each division within NORDAM was given the task to reduce material costs and renegotiate pricing, as well as search for potential new suppliers to cut cost. Out of the five U.S. divisions, I led a purchasing team that reduced material cost by 12%, and the closest division reduction was .9%.

Successfully introduced acrylic injection molding to NORDAM, by taking an existing aircraft lens manufactured at a cost of $400; we were able to acquire the same lens for $10 that was an injected molded lens. We later added more products to the list resulting in thousands of dollars cost savings annually.
