Office Move – Mars Retail moved their headquarters from Henderson NV to Mt. Arlington NJ. Facilitated movement of IT equipment to new location. Worked with construction division to ensure office would support staff (cabling, wireless, and video conferencing) hired a new team in NJ.

Clean up of PCI environment – PCI was controlled by an outside contractor. After numerous issues with our 2011 audit, Implemented an operating system upgrade to Windows XP, Microsoft Active Directory, PatchLink and replaced our virus protection and file monitoring systems. Secured compliance certification in 2011.

London Store – Mars Retail opened their first international store. Worked with the business to define processes and suggest system modifications to conform to UK market. Was responsible for the implementation of network, phone systems, office equipment (laptops, printers) remote warehouse systems, back office systems and POS for this new location. Implemented a Chip and Pin solution that drastically reduced Mars’ PCI responsibility. We are looking to implement a similar solution in the US in 2012.

Warehouse and Store RF system – Implement a radio frequency system that will allow Mars Retail to eliminate current paper based systems. This solution will improve accuracy, efficiency and allow for real time updates. The ROI on this improvement is 2 years.

Merchandise Planning – Coordinating ‘showcases’ from 4 different vendors to replace current excel planning system with a system that will incorporate sales, receipts, purchases and eliminate the manual system that is in place. This integrated solution will allow the business unit to better track inventory/sales and ‘chase’ high performing SKUs.
