■Objective

To obtain a position as a CAD Systems Manager or Senior Civil/Structural Designer that will utilize and expand my previous training and experience. The lead technical support role for a company site which uses 3D software.

■Summary

Twenty years total experience in the Petrochemical Field using 3D with a Civil/Structural background. More than Ten (10) years in a 3D environment. More recent applications include Autocad 2014, Structural Detailer, Plant 3D 2013, Navisworks, LFM scans and DRSTAT.

My background also includes experience as an Autocad instructor for a college in Baton Rouge then later becoming an Application Engineer for an Autodesk company. Responsibilities included: self training on different applications, then teaching a five day course to a group of ten or more students at Engineering firms.

My 3D knowledge led me to a position as a 3D Administrator which duties included: training Autoplant, Frameworks, and Smartplant 3D to all new hires and existing employees, 3D technical support, coordination over all disciplines, managing software patches and licenses.

Lead Structural Designer over multiple projects. Responsible for design of pipe racks, platforms, miscellaneous equipment foundations and supporting field work using Autocad Plant 3D 2014.

Lead Structural Designer over multiple projects with 3+ designers under my supervision. Responsible for design of pipe racks, platforms, miscellaneous equipment foundations and supporting field work using Structural Detailer.
