HUDSON TECHNOLOGIES JAN 2015 – SEP 2015 – As Quality Engineer for Hudson Technologies I; ● improved the low product quality score of 78% to 98% for one of their primary Customers using problem solving techniques, analyses of data and performing supplier audits. ● led my team in setting up our product line with SPC control plans using QCGage and QCCalc and have received training in both. ● worked with and led “fire fighting” team efforts in my area. ● assisted our ISO coordinator in addressing issues that rose out of our ISO13485 audit for our medical product lines. ACHIEVEMENTS AT CATERPILLAR / BUCYRUS INC. 2008 – 2014 – As Quality Engineer for CAT Global Mining’s Eastern Products Group, I successfully: ● led the development and institution of control plans for the conveyor pulley manufacturing processes. ● led the initiative to improve the Continuous Miner pre-mine ready testing and mine ready testing processes by observing the processes and data mining, filtering and analyzing the data from those processes. ● led the initiative for instituting CAT CAV Core Processes into the previous Bucyrus production and validation models. ● was responsible for leading and coordinating internal audits of ATEX/IECEx and ISO 80079-34 standards for design and manufacturing of products that risks being exposed to explosive atmosphere environments for all of the Caterpillar Global Mining, Eastern Products Group Division. ● mapped all Belt Systems business management processes relative to their SAP BMS Software interactions in a Corporate (Bucyrus) process improvement initiative ● developed final inspection processes for the various components that make up the belt systems
● developed workmanship standards for the belt systems product. ● developed testing equipment/methods for validating the designed critical-to-function features of the Idler products (based on the ISO standards as well as the DIN standards) and procedures for performing analysis of data from multiple data sources Business Management and Quality Consulting –Private 2005 – 2008 ● I started as a George May Group Senior Executive Consultant before being promoted to Project Director three months later. ● I left the company to pursue Quality consulting work from home during which time I was able to take a 60+ employee sheet metal machining and fabrication business from not having any QMS to having an ISO9001 compliant and certified QMS. ● I then managed their Quality department and improved their QMS while assisting them in finding and hiring a suitable Quality Manager. ITT Night Vision, Inc. 1984 –2005 (retired)
As Quality Coordinator for ITTNV I: ● was the primary Quality Department point of contact for US and Israeli Government Source Inspections. ● compiled the data and composed IPT and Reliability test reports. ● was Quality’s liaison with the Configuration Management Department and served as Quality’s representative on the Engineering Change Order Review Board.
● was SSGB – As my Six Sigma Green Belt Project (University of Michigan) which resulted in a $375K savings over three years, I initiated and lead the process improvement initiative to design, develop and deploy a QM System software, taking it from mapping the processes through beta testing and release. ● was the Quality Assurance, ISO 9001 team audit team leader, instructor for the auditor training program which I also developed. ● worked as well with Mil-Q-9858 and Mil-I-45208A Standards.
