RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Piping Inspector :
• Monitor all aspects of piping and welding aspects from fabrication to site erection until final testing of a test system.
• Familiar with welding inspections that is before, during, and after welding activities at site.
• Review filler wires and electrodes of welding procedure specification.
• Qualification and performance monitoring of welding personel.
• Reviewing final Packages for Hydro test, approving and & releasing for Hydro test.
• Preparing the punch list items as per P & ID and Isometric such as, Pipe supports, Valve, Guide, Shoe support and NDT completion and approving/releasing packages for hydro test.
• Material identification and inspection report preparation and to offer client inspection.
• Fit up & visual inspection piping as per ANSI/ASME B31.3, B31.1.
• Pre heating & PWHT arrangements & chart verification.
• Receiving Incoming materials from vendors.
• Preparing inspection reports for fit up and welding.
• Coordinate with client quality engineer for final punch listing.
• Inspection of deliveries of materials to assure that they are within tolerances, grade in quality as specified, that they are stored and handled, and that they have been not damaged.
• Fit up inspection, orientation checking and controlling welding consumables.
• Identification of Radiography joints.
• Taking NDT clearance from Clients.
• Inspection of fit up and welding of joints.
• Radiography offer for radiography joints.
• Familiar with MT, PT and RT film interpretation.
• Raised RFI for MATERIAL RECEIVING, FIT UP and VISUAL and HYDRO TESTING.
• Monitor test package data from PIPING PUNCH LIST, NDT PUNCH LIST and ORIFICE FLANGE INTERNAL GRIDING INSPECTION.
• Witness hydro testing and guide hydro team how to execute properly hydro testing procedures.
• Input daily Fit Up and Visual report.
• Assigned in surveillance inspection of piping assembly, erection and Fabrication’s to conform to quality procedure and specification.
• Prepare punch list and coordinate with the responsible field engineer or supervisor for its completion.
• Review and check piping packages prior to ensure all pertaining reports and requirements are properly enclosed and signed both main contractor and proponent.
• Do preliminary inspection of all materials needed for execution and assembly as per requirements of its QCP ITP.
• Prepare checklist, approved procedure, latest isometric drawing
• Check dimension Fit up tolerance, orientation, material specification
( color coding ).
• Responsible in conducting of first three (3) welder production and monitor welder's performance report.
• Guide welding foreman and welder’s how to read tracing paper and execute properly DNT defects such as RT,UT and PT.
• Control NDE data and prepare daily RT location Data. As a Welding Inspector:
• Monitor all welding aspects before, during and after welding as per approved WPS.
• Monitor correct electrode and filler wire and pre heat temperature, correct materials, correct fit up tolerance and checked latest isometric drawing prior to welding as per approved WPS.
• Monitor all welding consumables for correct usage and proper storage.
• Monitor all welding consumables material such as welding machine and portable oven if it is in a proper condition as per approved company procedures.
• Control all welders and guide for proper welding techniques to avoid repetition of works to to minimize company loss.
• Prepare QWT and conduct inspection during testing of its welders of its test coupon and monitor monthly welders rejection rates.
• Raised RFI for visual inspection and execute site inspection together with main contractor and client.
• Teach all welding foreman for NDE defects how to read and how to repair properly such as Rt, UT,PT.
• Interpret film and make tracing paper to its RT rejects.
• Clearing NDE punch list and other NDE reports.
• Monitor weld profile after welding prior to RT request to avoid cup under and high low and other external discontinuities to avoid company loss. As a Painting Inspector:.
• Monitor daily activities such as surface cleaning and preparation prior to primer coating, mid coating, final coating until final touch up of a test system as per paint system approved by the third party.
• Raised daily RFI for primer coat, mid coat, top coat and final touch up.
• Responsible for stage wise painting/coating inspection.
• Undertake QC painting/coating activities in the work place for daily basis.
• Monitor weather condition ( DFT ) for surface preparation and painting/coating application.
• Execute Painting/coating inspection work as per company/project inspection test plan.
• Check and monitor all painting/painting related works and ensure all final products meet in accordance with company procedure, clients requirements and international codes.
• Responsible for incoming coating/painting material inspection and has to ensure whether these Material suits to meets the requirements of projects specification.
• Prepare all necessary QA/QC painting/coating documents and handed over to clients review.
• To undertake test qualifications for spray painters, brush painter’s hydro blasters and abrasive blasters.
As a Qc Assistant:
• Input daily FIT UP and VISUAL report using Construction Integrated Management System ( CIMS ) .
• Monitor latest new revision isometric drawing and update all field adjustment such as additional and revision joints.
• Collect all daily production reports to all supervisors.
• Coordinate’s to NDT company and do request for Welder’s qualification testing.
• Do request RT and PT using Piping Inspection Level together with CIMS data.
• Monitor and update welder’s rejection rate and execute RT request for the 5% percent penalty it’s welder.
• Monitor daily RT data such as RS, RT, not match, C1, C2, C3 and RT reject for 100% line and 5% penalty.
• Monitor daily RT trace or RT repair and guide all welders how to repair accurately.
• Control and clear all NDT punch list as per test package.
• Coordinate to third party and solve all problems in any NDT matters.
• Monitor test package data thru CIMS exports and identify which package is already cleared for NDT punch list and report to QC manager to execute hydro testing.
• Update daily RT location data and distribute location data each QC line checker for their daily work. Discuss planning and forecasting for future monitory NDT progress
