Research Intern – PJM Interconnection June’16-Aug’16 Synchrophasor Data Conditioning and Dynamic State Estimation using Kalman Filtering
Working in Applied Solutions Department to develop a C# code which will pre-process the Synchrophasor data and improve the performance of Linear State Estimator (LSE).
The algorithm will filter bad data from 50GB synchrophasor data fed to LSE. M.S. Thesis – Dr. Virgilio Centeno, Virginia Tech Dec’14-Present Synchrophasor based positive sequence linear state estimation
Currently developing a linear state estimator (LSE) on Southern California Edison (SCE) network that would use only PMU measurements to compute the system state.
The main aim of the research is to replace the current RTU based SCADA system with Synchrophasor based Wide Area Measurement (WAM) system.
Developed a Real-Time LSE Application using C#
Project Trainee - Siemens India Ltd. July’13-May’14
Project Title: Test set-up for Induction Machine.
Worked in Siemens Industrial Drive Technology Department to design and implement test-bed for conducting routine tests and type tests of an Induction Machine. Intern – Tata Power Co. Ltd. Dec’12
Acquired general idea of power plant functioning and understood the detailed working procedure of Transformer Protection and Switchgear Control. Intern – Bombay Electric Supply and Transport (B.E.S.T.) Nov’11-Dec’11
Worked in five departments namely Operations and Control, Erection, Workshop, Metering and Relay and Street Lighting.
