Highlights: I am the Learning Manager for Deepwater and am developing and facilitating Leadership Courses. I am also responsible for formal learning, community learning and informal learning such as workshops, focus groups, lunch and learn, After Action Reviews. I develop learning strategies and implementation plans to embed leadership culture into the organization using innovative approaches. I have been involved in the development, facilitation and management of Shell’s Leadership practice. I also have been involved with knowledge management for 11+ years and is embedded in our 70-20-10 learning model.

Knowledge Management/Learning Manager

February 2012 – October 2015

Highlights: I was the Learning and Knowledge Management Lead on the Carmon Creek Project in Shell Canada, managing a team of 7 direct and 4 indirect reports. Carmon Creek is a mega project in the Heavy Oil portfolio. I was responsible for all aspects of Knowledge management, learning and communication on the project including tools, processes and metrics. I developed the Knowledge management strategy and implementation plans for the project as well as a lesson learned implementation plan. I created a SharePoint site that is used for all KM, communication and learning on the project. I use a number of processes for knowledge sharing and learning such as AARs, ROCK and learning events. I have been a lead facilitator for Shell’s Leadership programs for the past 6 years and I also train, accredit and coach facilitators of the courses. I am responsible for providing feedback and updates to Current Leadership programs and models.

Highlights: Developed Shell’s first Global Knowledge Management Strategy, using Shell Change Architect methodology. Managed a virtual team of 4 direct reports situated around the globe. Developed behavioral change management program to help embed knowledge sharing into everything we do, every day (informal learning). Collected and analyzed external data, benchmarking Shell's Knowledge Management and Learning capabilities against other organizations. The benchmarking data was used to develop a informal learning framework to measure against targets. Developed assessments to measure informal learning, and developed interventions for business improvement. Analyzed statistical usage data on Knowledge management and learning systems to report to leadership for justification of continued system support. Developed current KS/KM Global Strategy, Vision and Objectives; Managed implementation and alignment of global strategy with KS/KM teams in the business; Raised awareness of the KS/KM behaviors (Ask, Learn, Share) across RDS; Developed KS/KM behavioral techniques as part of change management initiatives to realize culture change across Shell Developed policies for KS/KM including implementation principles and KS/KM tools policies/procedures; Expertise holder in KM communities of practice (SIGN); Responsibility for realization of KM project plans and ensures KPIs; Managed projects across different departments (IT, WIPRO, Learning Designers); Managed the organizations Globalized Communities of Practice across Royal Dutch Shell, established new CoPs, rejuvenated mature CoPs and advised their sponsors, leaders and members in all knowledge management and informal learning. Knowledge Management Senior Analyst

Highlights: Proven track record in knowledge management (KM) with a strong focus on best practice/knowledge transfer (ROCK), learning and leadership development, and community building. During this time I managed a team of 5 KM Analyst and 4 learning designers. We implemented and maintained Shell’s Global KM toolkit (WIKI, SIGN,). We established and managed knowledge sharing networks which is the backbone for knowledge transfer and informal learning between technical staff globally.
