United Tech Corp (UTC) Atlanta, GA February 2011 – February 2014

Sr. Program Manager, Building Access & Controls

Led multidivisional integrated product development team for the two highest priority programs (802.11 wireless device & hardened locking system platform) for this business unit. Team consist of 8 FT engineers, 23 outsources engineers, and 9 professional members.

Successfully launched an RFID electro mechanical lock NPI, which exceeded forecasted sales volumes by 11k+ units in 2012.

Responsible for requirements elicitation to ensure the development of, and tracking against, business cases and key performance indicators.

Cultivated and defined the architecture of the Program Management Office (PMO) function within Onity; a standalone cell which had not existed previously.

GE Energy, Atlanta, GA May 2010 – February 2011

Program Manager, Gas Turbines

Helped drive the process and rigor for Gas Turbine project execution through weekly site-based calls which will translate into even better execution in 2011.

Led and managed GT projects, and helped the team to exceed their target of $30MM. Interfaced with Product Service and Design Engineering to identify three additional Margin-Up opportunities for 2010 that delivered $1.1MM of DMP+ cost out.

Supported the Slow Moving Inventory (SMI) Reduction Initiative by working with the Inventory management team to develop a new process that facilitates evaluation of SMI, identifies possible hardware modifications, and assesses technical/financial risks involved. Through implementation of the process ES DMP has captured $700k of savings and the inventory group has disposition 2% of the parts in backlog.

GE Fire & Security, Bradenton, FL July 2009 – May 2010

Productivity Program Manager, Fire Products

Owned the year-over-year business strategy to achieve DMP Targets for the Fire and Security business. Facilitated teams within technology and supply chain to drive cost out. Helped the Fire COE deliver $6.3MM in variable cost out, $0.2MM above target for 2009.

Drove and facilitated weekly VCO calls to drive cross-functional action on cost out efforts across 6 technology sites and 10 domestic/international plants. Worked directly with business leadership including plant managers, engineering cost out leaders, general managers, and the VP of supply chain.

Achieved the highest direct material savings amongst all 7 GE Security COE’s, 2.6% of material spend.

Leveraged experience and know-how obtained from successful sourcing and reengineering projects to influence change in cost out philosophy in regards to driving deflation as priority.

GE Security, Bradenton, FL January 2008 – April 2010

Mechanical & Sustaining Lead Engineer

Developed a solution to meet seismic requirements for the GE EST3 Fire Control Panel to maintain market share, stay compliant, and prevent $17MM of annual revenue risk.

Integral member of the NPI Panels team, responsible for developing mechanical concepts for a new global fire panel with incremental revenue projected at $19MM. Worked with cross functional teams to design a retrofit-able product that reduced installed cost for distribution, provided a more competitive fire solution, and increased pull through.

Design fire alarm products including smoke detectors, flash strobes, audio notification appliances, modules, and pull stations.

GE Security, Bradenton, FL April 2007 – December 2008

Component Sourcing & Procurement Engineer

Assessed the profitability of new components along with their ability to reach and sustain projected sales target. Implemented standardization of electrical terminal block connectors’ usage across all engineering functions of GE Security resulting in a deflation savings of $400k.

Led project to introduce automation of rivet machine in a manufacturing facility to reduce line yield and accelerate production.

Supported EMD sourcing team by performing required reliability testing that included operating conditions, stress parameters, and failure rate.

Baxter Healthcare, Pinellas Park, FL May 2006 - April 2007

Mechanical Engineer, Medical Devices

Conducted extensive research and prototyping of a peritoneal dialysis machine, resulting in an economically priced device for emerging markets.

Performed test calculations, quality reviews, and mechanism design of an anti-microbial treatment for medical disposable fluid connections.
