Aim of this project is to provide Go forward strategy to government of Manitoba for Students Financial Aid Information Solution (SFAIS) to launch student portal and student loan applications on SAP Portal using SAP CRM. Earlier student portal was comprised of a custom built Microsoft .Net application which was integrated with SAP CRM and PSCD. Techm proposed SAP CRM system shall have a host of new solution blocks/functionalities enabled such as Claims Management, Case Management, and Web Request with BSP among others that will leverage the standard offering from SAP. SAP BI data models are re-designed as per the changes in the application form and other processes. Optimized data models with appropriate data types were created to hold data for Student Applications, interfaces (such as PIM, CRA), Grantor application, agreement, claims, case management and PSCD.

Project Description

The system developed contained a single server and multiple clients. For doing so we created a thread pool .A thread pool is an object that contains a fixed number of threads and supports operations like dispatch, which causes one thread from the pool to wake up and enter a specified function etc. The server and the client communicate through the socket that is created both in server and client. Whenever a client request comes to the server the server puts them in a message queue. Then for each request it allocates a free thread from the thread pool to process the request
