2D Designer/Lead Artist

Directed by a lead Artist to illustrate characters, UI and backgrounds for a freemium beat em up game for Youtube celebrity “KSI”. Was solely responsible for rigging and animating 800+ skeletal based animations as well animating all UI and cutscenes for the game’s 30 levels.

To enable the game’s massive amount of content to fit across numerous iOS and Android mobile and tablet devices, utilised Unity’s sprite packer, profiler and compression settings. Not only did this include sprites, but also the compression of the sounds and music of the entire game.

Working my way up to the position of Lead Artist, became in charge of mentoring two new artists as to our consistent art style, art processes and even how to use Unity to ensure the project’s ongoing success.

During the course of the project, designated the tasks of other artists using Atlassian’s Jira for time management and workflow optimization. Made sure to kept the art assets organized and always readily available using Unity’s Asset Server, Tortoise SVN and Atlassian’s Sourcetree.

Solely took on all art responsibilities for a 360x480 HTML5 browser game. Created concepts, character design, UI design and the animation of all characters and environments.

Was personally responsible for landing the V&A client through my game design and concept art. This success lead to me being in charge of designing the 3m x 2m printed poster that players interacted with. Also animated 2D fbf characters and worked with our creative director to design the game’s UI to work on any tablet device. Was also in charge of illustrating the reconstructions of all of the Parthenon Gallery’s statues, reimagined and coloured the Metope’s walls and illustrated the Acropolis with heavy attention to detail advised by the gallery’s curator. Redesigned all of the UI in Photoshop for all of the minigames within two days. For the National Maritime Museum, was in charge of the whole of the app’s UI Design working within the game’s limitations. Was also put in charge of concept art and game design, meeting with the client and showcasing ideas for their approval. PROFILE
