Career Summary:

My background is in the automotive industry and related supply chain applications. I am seeking to continue my career in Manufacturing and expand my role, potentially into a new industrial sector. An ideal position would involve management experience, travel, and an opportunity to further my education. I work best in a change-oriented environment that often considers new approaches and ideas. While it’s certainly more comfortable to work on processes you know and deeply understand, I excel with challenging work that is significantly different than what I have previously experienced. By managing many projects at Meritor Franklin, I have built a solid, diversified skillset and see myself building upon that foundation and growing into an executive role in the next 3 to 5 years. EXPERIENCE

Meritor

Site Engineer

As the site engineer, my overriding task is to understand the facility’s needs and recommend projects to propel the capability for production to meet and exceed those needs. After the idea for a project has been discussed, I take it from an embryonic concept through to a fully implemented, production released improvement. I advocate for the projects and push them through every step of conception and implementation to include writing and presenting acquisition requests to the North America Directors. I support the production effort through capital spending, total productive maintenance efforts, and managing tooling designs and inventories. I’ve been heavily involved in efforts to convert the facility to a Toyota based production system and have lived the successes and failures of that struggle.

Accomplishments:

• Excelled as the Maintenance Manager in addition to normal duties for an extended interim following organizational changes.

• Successfully implemented two new Okuma lathes and lead a Daily Operator Maintenance team (part of TPM) to support the launch with permanent continuous improvement efforts.

• Develop and implement a new Solidworks based process for Spinform tooling design and implementation to eliminate tooling related downtime.

• Received extensive Six Sigma training and executed a Green Belt project to improve throughput in the facility’s constraining process.

• Successfully implement $3.5 Million over 13 capital improvement projects over the course of 18 months.

• Establish and proliferate standardized jaw designs for robot end effectors. Please see the addendum for a more exhaustive list of projects. Additional information may be available upon request.

Trace Die Cast

Engineering Intern

At Trace I assisted the tooling manager and his compatriot project managers in their day to day activities. Frequently this included designing experiments and gathering useful data to identify and solve various manufacturing issues. Often, I would formally present the conclusions and have my information forwarded to customers or suppliers. I learned a great deal about tooling management and how to properly support production through that avenue. After 2 years at the 01/2011 - 07/2014
