Functioned as Principal Business Analyst and Functional ETRM Expert for client Castleton Commodities International, LLC. Specified, designed, documented, tested, implemented, and trained employees on 60+ enhancements to waterborne trading and scheduling. Configured and documented ZEMA validation functionality. SME for CXL ETRM questions, PnL Attribution, and accrual data.

Major Achievements:

Designed 25+ enhancements for cross unit-of-measure trading, allowing expanded trading without increased headcount and prepared for the $1B+ acquisition of Morgan Stanley’s Global Oil Merchant business.

Directed complete re-engineering of trading, scheduling, and PL reporting activities, enabling seamless integration of physical and financial trading information between Morgan Stanley and CCI to create consolidated financial statements.

Triple Point Technology, Inc. ~ PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT ~ 2005-2014

Contracted to fulfill various responsibilities associated with implementation of CXL for physical and financial natural gas and power commodities along with Credit Risk, and Hedge Accounting, GL, invoicing, scheduling, and reconciliation modules for select accounts. Worked with users to understand their business practices, defined and documented new functionality needed, and served as onsite trainer and SME for new functionality. Researched, reported, and solved production problems as they occurred.

Major Projects:

ARC Resources Ltd., Principal Consultant/Project Leader: Functioned as onsite SME for invoicing and reconciliation of transactions in the system, successfully implementing ETRM system on time and within budget. Configured financial power and design of custom invoices.

Integrys Energy Group Inc., Principal Consultant/Project Leader: Redesigned natural gas trading/schedule business processes by implementing ETRM solution, allowing client to expand their trading organization while mitigating risk exposure.

Suncor Energy, Principal Consultant: Developed oil trading enhancements to streamline business processes and enhance software performance, allowing client to expand trading business without increasing headcount. Re-engineered refined products scheduling processes and designed refined product scheduling enhancements.

ExxonMobil Corp., Principal Consultant: Modeled client’s crude trading business and performed end-to-end fully functional proof of concept of CXL and SAP/TSW. Defined and documented new functionality needed and created 57 high-level project descriptions then served as SME for nation/international marine trading and scheduling.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Principal Consultant: Secured, managed, and implemented $1.1M in enhancements to the CXL product, managing the additional project scope and completing project on time and within budget. Knowledge expert for creating a Netback Pricing application for production natural gas. Created functional documents and user guides.

ConocoPhillips Co., Senior Consultant: Designed and implemented a scheduling reporting framework and associated database. Enhanced existing functionality throughout the system to increase usability as well as existing interfaces related to new functionality. Coded new interfaces to various external systems.

Solarc, Inc. ~ SENIOR CONSULTANT ~ 2001-2005

Contracted as a technical consultant/expert for multi-year assignments onsite at client locations implementing RightAngle Engergy Trading System and assisting with various aspects of each project to ensure on time and budget delivery.

Major Projects:

Southwest Airlines, Senior Technical EAI Consultant: Implemented targeted aviation fuel and oil. Created interfaces for RightAngle with: AP system, GL information, and in-house payments. Created complex SQL queries and stored procedures. Redesigned aviation fuel trading, scheduling, and visibility to location of stored fuel, saving hundreds of thousands annually.

El Paso Energy Corp., Senior Technical EAI Consultant: Installed RightAngle for gasoline, fuels, and oil by tanker, barge, pipeline, truck, and rail.

-Developed custom interfaces for: RightAngle to Zytax tax reporting systems; electronic transfer of funds (EFT) from RightAngle; THERMS risk system to RightAngle using TIBCO; and AR/AP and payment interfaces to PeopleSoft.

-Designed and integrated: Credit system into RightAngle; exposure calculations for estimating taxes on each trade; interface from the marine trading system to RightAngle; and RightAngle to TopTech interface for truck and rail information; interfaces were ultimately used in RightAngle core product.
