Was a part of a team which worked on High Rate Sedimentation tank for increasing the upflow velocity, reducing the process time and tank area. The team was successful in increasing the upflow velocity by factor of 3.

Worked on Stacked Rapid Sand Filters with a team. Designed and built an experimental apparatus representing stacked rapid sand filter to assess the filter performance parameters and develop a mathematical model.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN CAMPUS July 2013 - April 2014

Research and practical application project.

Need, principles and future scope of sustainable development were assessed for 126 acre campus and a proposal was designed to achieve sustainability of Dr. D. Y. Patil Knowledge City, India.

The comprehensive proposal was presented to the administration. The campus is working toward achieving zero garbage as well as temperature and pollution control and the rest of the proposal is currently under consideration.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Intern at CSIR – National Environmental Engineering Research Institute Nov 2014 - Dec 2014

Worked for the department of Water Technology and Management.

Research assistant to Dr. Katherine Alfredo, Columbia University.

Assisted in Field work and survey - design, planning and implementation.

Was part of a team who conducted surveys in nine villages in India.

Conducted follow up operator telephone surveys for next six months for Dr. Alfredo. SKILLS
