WORK EXPERIENCE
Manufacturing Analyst at CODE SOURCE 360 November 2015 - Present
As part of business requirement (Indirect Spend) integration of ERP with a third party system ‘SAS-IVLUA’ in order to make payments for the vendors once the goods are received.
Gathered requirements from the client and made Functional Documents.
IVLUA sends Invoice information to ERP system, once the invoices data successfully loaded into Custom Voucher tables then run a custom process to build a voucher.
Once voucher is build, payments are done according to the payment terms
Internship at HVHC Manufacturing Facility (Vision Works) – Lean Principles May 2015 - August 2015
Value Stream Mapping of their Lens Manufacturing Process (current state map).
Suggested Improvements, Bottleneck for balanced production and Reduced WIP at every station.
Teaching Assistant, University of Texas, San Antonio August 2014 - May 2015
Teaching Assistant for Mechanical Engineering students in Materials Engineering Lab.
Experiments include Crystallography, Hardness Testing, Tensile Testing of Metals, Impact Testing of Metals, Heat Treatment and Hardenability.
Internship at Nagasai Precision Private Limited June 2012 - July 2012
Developed Aerospace components using Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
Worked on a project based on “Improvement of process and machining of Airbus door handle”.
Used AutoCAD software to design 2D&3D models of the components and put in the data in CNC machine for manufacturing.
Intership at HYUNDAI workshop May 2012 – June 2012
Automobile Assembling and Engine Sensors.
Impact Attenuator designer in FSAE Japan and SAE India team Jan 2011 – March 2013
Team Vice-President for FSAE Japan 2012
Secretary for SAE INDIA 2012
Main Player in the fabrication of the frame and driving the project.
Tested the loads acting on the frame using Solidworks with and without the attenuator and accordingly designed Impact Attenuator.
Used Polyurethane foam which is used in regular office or car seats of low density inside an aluminum box to absorb maximum amount of energy during the impact.
Analyzed the load acting on Impact Attenuator using Universal Testing Machine (UTM).
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Applications of Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies addressing the Railway Maintenance, University of Texas, San Antonio
A report based on the literature review done towards the Railway Maintenance and the improvisation done using the lean and six sigma tools.
Improving Production through Value Stream Mapping, University of Texas, San Antonio
Studying the process flows of a rubber products manufacturer centre.
Reducing wastage and increasing efficiency by implementing lean six-sigma tools.
Analysed the situation using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) by SmartDraw software and proposed changes for improvement.
Optimizing the Parking System in the University, University of Texas, San Antonio
Considered the various factors that affect the parking system in the university and performed a statistical analysis using planned experimentation to improve the quality.
Performed statistical analysis using ARENA simulation.
Successful improvement in the waiting time was reported.
Regression Analysis on Train Accidents
Studying and predicting the factors for Train Accidents.
Performed multiple regression analysis using R Studio.
Statistical process Control using Cumulative Sum (CUSUM) control charts
Literature review of the basics of using CUSUM charts and also showed an example on how to solve a problem using CUSUM control charts.
