Experience

Welding

Acquiring skills through thousands of hours of combined instruction and hands-on training in multiple welding disciplines including GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW, as well as oxy-fuel and brazing.

Focusing skills on mild steel and aluminum plates and pipes of varying thicknesses, from 28 ga. to 1 inch, and in all positions, 1G – 6G.

Currently on track to earn a Welding Technology diploma with certifications (AWS D 1.1) on plate and pipe, summer 2016, from Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Used resistance spot-welding process to repair EA-6B engine bay heatshields when necessary.

Maintenance

Regular and preventative maintenance of EA-6B and EA-18G engines and fuel systems. Used hand and power tools, hydraulic lifts, air compressors, mobile generators, borescopes, etc.

Performed periodic and conditional inspections of select aircraft systems and components, and inspection and operation of relevant ground support equipment.

Communication

Proven ability to communicate precisely and concisely in diverse and turbulent environments using field-specific terminology and visual cues.

Proficient at using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access.

Supervision

Provided training and supervision to personnel, transitioning VF-31 from F-14 “Tomcat” to VFA-31 and the F/A-18 E “Super Hornet” and VAQ-135 from EA-6B “Prowler” to EA-18G “Growler.”

Supervise and direct daily aircraft launch and recovery operations as a Plane Captain, and directed daily maintenance and inspection activities as required.
