Pfizer - Richmond, VA - August 2015 to Present

Manage technical documentation editing and writing for an internal knowledge database for Pfizer's Global Research and Development Quality Assurance and Compliance department. Administer the electronic document review and approval process. Projects include formatting documents that comply with the Federal Drug Administration's compliance requirements, including scientific research processes and labeling and formula information for their Consumer Healthcare products. Utilize Microsoft Word with macro editing tools, templates, SharePoint, and numerous internal software systems and database programs to manage the projects. Achievement: Liaise with document managers, research scientists, administrative managers and department directors.

Technical Writer

Anthem - Richmond, VA (Remote) - November 2014 to July 2015

Managed intranet technical documentation creation, editing and analysis for an internal knowledge database for Anthem, Inc. Administered the electronic document review and approval process. Analyzed systems, interviewed subject matter experts, applied informational mapping principles and utilized multi-level style guidelines to achieve effective application software procedures and informational documentation. Projects include a document migration to a new platform in support of a health insurance business transition from state-run system management to the federal health insurance exchanges projects. Utilized Microsoft SharePoint to manage the projects. Provided necessary editing, writing, formatting and coordinating of end-user documentation for a diverse selection of internal software programs in Anthem's Knowledge Management portal.

Web Content Editor

Capital One - Richmond, VA - April 2012 to August 2012

I was the web content manager for the content on the Capital One credit cards website, www.capitalone.com/creditcards. Coordinated the content projects with the web content domain owner and presented the content with graphic elements and coordinated its presentation with the website development team. This process included quality testing and release of the content onto the web platform. To this end, I utilized HTML and the web content management program Autonomy Interwoven TeamSite and trained in agile software development procedures, an iterative project management method which maximizes the balance between long-term and short-term project goals, and worked with a business analyst to establish technology specifications for the web pages. Coordinated projects with content owners in the U.S. and Canada and managed deadlines and releases with the Operations team. Achievement: Led the web content management migration of an internal project team knowledge-base with support.

Freelance - Richmond, VA - August 2010 to October 2014

Created and edited commercial writing projects. Managed long-term contracts and helped solve business problems. Created consumer and industry level website content. Some projects included technical web content for health and software industries. I was a web content manager for an internal knowledge-base at Capital One and created and edited intranet user technical documentation utilizing a web content management program, Autonomy Interwoven TeamSite, and HTML to format and manage content. Also developed news content and created corporate training decks utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint to introduce and explain product changes and releases. One project included creating the training and end user documentation from within an interdepartmental project team for the business processes that resulted from the implementation of the credit card industry legislation, the Credit Card Act of 2009, which changed credit card terms for Capital One customers. Achievement: Juggled multiple projects simultaneously and successfully met all deadlines.
