Use AsyncTask to download the URLs of recent photos from Flickr and use Handler Thread to dynamically display photos

Add SearchView to help users search their favorite photos from Flickr and use IntentService to remind users there are new updated photos in Flickr

Use WebView to display web content of each photos in the app Recognition of the Digital Measuring Instrument via Neural Network Nov. 2015~Jan. 2016

Studied the Neutral Network Algorithm, including forward propagation and backpropagation.

Collected 3000 30 30 gray-scale images with different readings of the digital measuring instruments to let the computer learn how to recognize digits.

By utilizing the training set, calculated the hypothetical functions and parameters of the minimal cost function for the measurement of the digital measuring instrument and made error analysis.

“Quiz” App to Help Children to Learn (Android App) Sep. 2015~Nov. 2015

Made a survey online to know what subjects the children are interested in and brainstormed with my team members to have an outline of this app.

Collected quiz questions for different subjects, such as English, geology and mathematics and designed the questions in various forms, such as choice question, true-false question and blank filling question.

Each child registers an account with their own score to record their performance. When they get a high score, they can enjoy the entertainment function in this app, such as listening music and watching movies. Pixel Shooting Computer Game Design via Unity 3D Feb. 2015~May 2015

Brainstormed with my team members to make an overview of the game, including story design, UI design and visual design.

UI design by using Unity 3D, including the shooter, the bullet, the platform for shooting, the background of the shooting game, the shooting target and the physical effects of all the object in this game world.

Wrote codes for each subject we designed in C#

Research on the Algorithm of the Recognition for the Analog Measuring Instrument Jan. 2014~May 2014

Converted the RGB image into gray-scale image and utilized median filter and Sobel edge detector to preprocess the image to remove the unnecessary details and noise.

Used Hough Transform to detect the location of the pointer and calculated the current reading according to the angle of the pointer we recognize.

Research on the Lower Power Angle Measuring Instrument Jun. 2013 Abstract: Designed an angle measuring instrument based on the MSP430, which could accurately measure the angle by calculating the acceleration of the gravity.

Analyzed the energy consumption for the instrument.

Designed algorithm and software programs based on the MSP430 to calculate the angle. Intelligent Massage Back Cushion for Cars Feb. 2013~Mar. 2013 Abstract: Designed a humanized massage back cushion, which could detect the blood circulation of the driver’s via oximeter and then work accordingly.

Designed the hardware and software, including the circuits for keyboard interface, circuits for the WDT, relay module and power supply system.

Study on Field Information Collection System Mar. 2012~May 2012 Abstract: A system based on STC12C5A32S2 was designed for acquiring and analyzing field information effectively. It could collect temperature data and humidity data through DHT11 temperature & humidity sensor, and then sent it to the control computer through NRF2401 wireless transceiver.
