Among dozens of small and medium Excel-Access-VBA Projects, these listed below are the biggest I have developed, maintained, trained and documented;

Excel Database Application Development for Documentation and Maintenance of an Offshore Oil & Gas Production Unit for Petrobras America which comprises operational, contractual and maintenance aspects of the Offshore Production Unit;

VBA-Excel App with User Level Access, 450+ Input cells and 1000+ calculated cells, for wells production allocation, chemicals stock control and usage, contractual performance, production potential, losses using simple, moderate and complex formulas sometimes nested in If-Then-Else’s;

Excel Database Management for every day input for the last 5 years, with thousands of columns and rows;

Data migration from Excel to Access Relational Database with 25 Tables and 27 Modules;

Several Dynamic Reports (including Pivot Table Reports) and Queries were created in order to attend the frequent changes and requests from the Management;

ERP Application development using VB6 and Access-SQL Server for Wood Group Brazil with several customized Crystal and Excel Reports to the Controller and Accountancy Department;

Job Title: Technical Support Engineer (Data & Quantitative Analysis, VBA-Excel-Access Developer)

Databases in Excel and Access development and customized reports requested by Operations Manager;

Relational Database design, Tables and Forms creation, Advanced Queries, Excel-VBA-Access Integration

Liaison with several users from different departments;

Research and propose technical solutions with costs, benefits, schedule and possible challenges;

Technical Support to analyse costs, creating dashboards for management decision with graphics, summaries and historical data support;

Major Achievements:

WOOD GROUP BRAZIL (Macae, Rio de Janeiro) (Woodgroup) Nov 2002–Aug 2005

Job Title: ERP Developer/Procurement Manager

Contracted to develop from scratch an ERP Supply Chain Application using VB6, Access and SQL Server;

This was to provide management over fabrication and installation of brown field engineering for 11 offshore production and drilling platforms in Campos Basin, Brazil over different Clients and contracts;

Relational Database design, Tables and Forms creation, Advanced Queries, Excel-VBA-Access Integration

Resulted in 50+ Flowcharts comprising the whole business activities (Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, Services and Materials Vendors Contracts, Equipment and Tools Rental, Stock Control, Inventory, Quality Control, Budget and Interface data to Accountancy);

Liaison with IT Manager to deploy the application in 50+ PC’s and provide training for the users;

Development of Weekly and Monthly Reports to the Controller.

After a successful implementation, I was invited by the Country Manager to take over the Procurement Manager position for 6 months to prepare the Department according to the Aberdeen Headquarters procedures and for the next corporate Manager;

Major Achievements:

oThe system was developed and implemented in 8 months, under approval of the Wood Group Corporate IT Manager;

oCost reduction of $1M over the 2003-2005;

oProcurement Department adjusted to retain 40% of its previous staff with the new application;
