Was part of Project Kautilya- Geo stationary satellite.

Studied the working of different Honeycomb structure/ Composite Structures under the guidance of Dr. M.S.Y. Siva Prasad, Scientist/ RCI.

Successfully optimized and finalized the honeycomb structure suitable for the space mission.

Designing of the satellite Model with all the Electronic Components Assembled using Solid Works and NX 9.0.

CAD model design to meet the center of mass requirement.

CAD Design Optimization using NX 9.0/Nastran after performing Structural Analysis, Modal Analysis, Thermal Analysis.

Reviewing and conducting meeting for design optimization and improvement.

Performed Space thermal analysis on the CAD module at various orbital parameters.

Design improvement based on the review of the results in space thermal analysis.

Active part of team analyzing the simulation data and making changes according to that.

Academic Projects:

Project 1 : Analysis and study of Honeycomb Structure using Finite Element Method.

Description : Honeycomb sandwich is a major part of spacecraft structures and due to its good stiffness to weight ratio, it can be a good replacements for conventional materials in ground applications. This study is carried on honeycomb structure by varying parameters such as foil thickness of the core, facesheet thickness. Modal analysis and Static Analysis is done on this honeycomb structure and results are compared with solid model of same size. Different cases are studied such as static analysis and modal analysis of cantilever honeycomb model, simply supported model and under an axial loading for honeycomb structure.

Software : Ansys 14.0, Solidworks.

Project 2 : Automated Filling Station.

Description : The main purpose of the project is to build an automated filling station using different components and interfacing them with LabVIEW, NI automation measurement. Here the containers is filled with liquid automatically at specified temperature using the following sensor inputs:

Proper obstacle detection by the infrared presence sensor

Level detection by the capacitive liquid level sensor

Temperature measurement by the thermocouple sensor

Software : VisSim 9.0, LabVIEW

Description : Our main aim of the project is to improve the quality of the food, cut out the time taken for takeouts and deliveries, cut out time taken for food preparation by using quality tools such as Quality Function Deployment, Failure modes and Effects Analysis and Cause and effect Diagram.
