o Promote Puerto Rico as a manufacturing site Life sciences Industry which includes Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device and the life science related supply chain. Responsibilities include potential customer identification, presentation of the benefits of establishing their facilities in Puerto Rico facilitate site location, permits and overall relationship with the local Government Agencies. Performance is measured by the amount of industries qualified and promoted and the amount of new employment generated by this industries. Developed the life sciences strategic plan as the Acting Life Sciences Director. Presently in charge of the business development activities in the pharmaceutical(small molecule), pharmaceutical biotechnology (large molecule) and medical device sectors. during this past 3 years accomplished the establishment of 2 new pharmaceutical companies in Puerto Rico plus the expansion of a third one. The projects entailed a $200,000,000.00 investment and totalled 600 new jobs in the economy og Puerto Rico.
June 2011 to April 2013 PR Industrial Development Co San Juan PR Director Life sciences team
o Directed a team of 4 business development specialists, one strategic economist and a scientific advisor. Developed the strategic plan for the life science sector. Established a segmented sales approach improving the market penetration resulting in 2,200 new job commitments with an investment by the customers in the economy of Puerto Rico of $1,200MM. Executed the trade show marketing including penetration in the European markets. Successfully developed and launched new incentives programs to improve the job multiplication of the industry. Served as the technical spokesperson for the trade media and presenter of the organization in the different trade organizations. This position is a political appointed and by regulation I had to resign at the end of the political term, returning to my past position.

o Managed sales for Eastern Canada from the Ontario Province east, eastern United States with a territorial demarcation starting east of the Ohio valley and PR. Developed relationships that helped to identify $6M of business opportunities in the assigned territory. For the Finesse product line. Finesse is dedicated exclusively to the development of products for the biotechnology processing industry. During my tenure with Finesse I signed a total of 4 System Integrators in my territory, sold the goal assigned to me in the 1st quarter of $250K and established commitments for evaluation units of the Finesse premier product for bioreactor automation trademarked TruBio that included hardware and all of the necessary ancillaries to make the project successful in customer. Established sensor evaluations and successful sales in all areas of the territory I covered which I divided using the Biospace model in, New England, Tri- State, Capital, North Carolina and Eastern Canada. o Responsible for a sales goal of $12M and achieved our sales goals in 2004. In charge of all new business opportunities for Coneco de PR explored new product opportunities and product lines that could improve Coneco de PR product dozier. Responsible for adding the Broadley James product line to Coneco de PR and this product line represented a booking of $1.3MM in the first year that the product line was signed. In charge of an 11 people sales staff including 2 managers. Establish sales and expenditure budgets according to forecast plus staff planning for the additional business opportunities. Product line included industrial process control equipment, both hardware and software plus capital production equipment for the pharmaceutical industry.

o Responsible for a $24M territory that included PR, Dominican Republic, Lesser Antilles and Jamaica. Managed 8 Representatives and VARS in the territory plus the PR Cost Center. Responsible for sales budget negotiation with the parent company for the territory covered, established the sales goals for the territory followed up thoroughly on our sales partners to help them attain the sales goals that we mutually agreed. o Supervised a staff of 2 outside sales people and 2 service resources for the equipment offered. Established a solutions oriented department for PR. Established the Project pursuit meeting with all the Representatives and VARS to achieve sales on a common goal. Accomplished a 22% CAGR for the territory in 5 years, the territory moved from
$10M to $24M gross sales. This growth was accomplished by the execution of the 5 year business plan that I developed in 1999 and the results of this was that my territory broke goal 3 years in a row and in one of those years the goal was broke by more than 50%.
