Shortlisted International designers and contractors. Compiled design brief and tenders Ensure that the Clients / Hotel operators design and product expectation of the property, namely Sofitel Soi @ 35 Robinson Road and Sentosa Resort and Spa
Sofitel Soi @ 35 Robinson Road
As PM, formulating a systematic approach towards restoration of this Heritage building, after investigating and diagnosing and identifying the deficiencies and deterioration of the façade and structure was challenging and invigorating.
Having to repair the façade and structure has been one of the high light of the project, as in involves investigations, sourcing for the correct materials and pairing it with the project objective.
Lai Chun Yuen @ 25 Trengganu Street
This was another Heritage Building which was left unoccupied for 5 years. It was built in 1887 as an opera house, a monument and restoring it to be a 83 room boutique hotel, needs dedication and passion to the cause.
Understanding materials and engaging responsible professionals, and contractors was a boon to the success of the project.
Highlights of the project was installing escalators, and making the open roof top structural sound for a back up generator that could only be place via the roof.

This was a 15th Century monument that was restored using traditional material ( clay and Date Palm logs) to it former glory.
It was like going back in time, as we devised the making of the clay bricks,main timber gate and casting the iron monger as was in the 15th century.
