Over 5 years of experience in environmental site assessment, compliance, emergency response, and mitigation.

Phase I, II, and III experience

As a core member of the Superfund Technical Assessment Response Team (START), performed over 25 site assessments, removal actions, and extent of contamination studies and subsequent remediation events. Was involved in over 75 projects over the duration of the contract.

Removal actions: drums, tanks, radiological waste, industrial facilities, mine sites, contaminated soils (using various treatment technologies), and contaminated surface and groundwater.

Interagency support: projects in coordination with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. EPA Remedial Branch, Navajo Nation EPA, United States Coast Guard, California DTSC, California Department of Wildlife, Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, and numerous other state agencies and local municipalities.

Training Experience: Project Manager for the Bay Area Emergency Response Coordination Committee, conducting quarterly meetings with local county responders. Participated in Level A training exercises with Federal On-Scene Coordinators in 2006 and 2007. Continuing Challenge Conference participant in 2006 and 2007. Veterinary Science - Farrowing Specialist

Served as a farrowing (birthing) and breeding specialist for a large-scale pork production company on a swine farm housing approximately 2,000 animals. Multi-disciplinary core team member and project manager for the US EPA’s Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) in Region 9. As a core member and project manager of the START, was involved in over 100 site assessments, emergency responses, removal actions, and extent of contamination studies and subsequent remediation actions with the US EPA. 2009-Present Make It Right Foundation New Orleans, Louisiana The House That Widespread Panic Fans Built (Make It Right Foundation). Working with a grassroots group responsible for fundraising efforts to build a team-sponsored house through the Make It Right Foundation. Make It Right builds homes and buildings for communities in need. Homes meet the highest standards in green building; they are LEED Platinum certified and inspired by Cradle to Cradle thinking. Efforts included internet marketing and raffle-centered fundraising events with the goal of rebuilding the lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Responsible for offering creative input and executing fundraising efforts and events for the house. 2011-Present Mustard Tree Ministries Chattanooga, Tennessee Working as a member of the ministry group responsible for serving and ministering to the urban poor and homeless in the greater Chattanooga area. Using a holistic approach, the ministry serves the poor by providing weekly meals, food boxes, bible studies, and worship services. Responsible for meal preparation, transportation, and distribution to less fortunate communities and schools.
