PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Pipeline Project Engineer, Jacobs Midstream Engineering, Houston Texas March 2011– Dec 2015

Manage project and vendor schedule, project equipment list, action item lists, request for information logs, Management of Change logs and the overall quality of projects.

Responsible for requisitioning pipeline materials and facility equipment in accordance with industry codes, client standards for both gas and/or liquid pipelines, including DOT 49CFR, Part 192 & 195, ASME 31.3, 31.8 and 31.4.

Develop pipeline Basis of Design, PEP, Hydro-Test Plan & Procedures, Material Take Offs, Technical Bid Tabs, Equipment Datasheets (API Tanks, Meter Skids, Pump stations, Compressor station, Launchers, Sump pumps, Sump Tanks, Strainers, Transitions stations, 3R Segmentable elbows and Control Valves), Pipe Wall Thickness Calculations, HDD Calculations etc... Scope of Work, Change Orders, IFB Packages IFC packages and RFQ packages.

Develop, review and support project P&IDs, Piping drawings, Isometrics drawings, engineering equipment drawings (I.E. Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, vendor and As Built’s), Permit drawings, Typical detail drawings, Grading plans, flow charts, Hazops, line and valve lists, plot plans, alignment sheets and model reviews.

Attend/Coordinate issue for bid meetings, kick-off meetings, pre-production meetings, and regular (weekly, monthly) progress meetings with subcontractors/vendors and clients.

Assisted in coordination of interfacing activities with subcontractors/vendors, clients and third parties throughout the project life cycle.

Provide on-site/office construction support through the pre-commissioning phase prior to startup.

Responsible for reviewing and implementing all documentation required for facility and Pipeline job books for initial project start-up.

Develop the client Facility Maintenance List for the client SAP database.

Design and facilitate the locations of each Cathodic Protection Test Station, Pipeline Markers through usage of client procedures, alignment sheets and GIS programs.

Provide assistance in developing and obtaining signed permit applications for Pipeline Right Of Way’s

Mechanical Project Engineer Jacobs Gas Processing Department - Houston Texas

Provided engineering support to existing hydrocarbon pipelines which proposed risk to ongoing operations of the Port Arthur Refinery. Responsibilities included determining most reliable, risk mitigated pipeline installation for the operation of the current pipeline system, with a newly installed system with equal or enhanced operational capabilities, assisted in TIC estimate which included launcher/receiver scraper skid packages for various sized lines from 4” to 24”.

Provided engineering support for the evaluation of various methods and techniques that ensured the removal of high amounts H2S (8000-10000 ppm), which were restricting liquid production in the Dilley operation area and other Eagle Ford facilities. Responsibilities included evaluating various vendors with expertise in Scavenger, Membrane Technology in order to determine the most feasible option for removing H2S at multiple well pad locations.

Provided engineering support for the development of water treatment systems. Responsibilities included the designing and procuring of pump and filter packages.

Assisted in providing TIC Estimates for individual equipment throughout the stages of Feed.

Mechanical Engineer, Sofec – Houston Texas June 2009 – March 2011

Coordinated the Sofec ICT/Phantom team while providing technical expertise for all swivel, mechanical, electrical and piping data information pertaining to BP Angola PSVM FPSO.

Collaborated with numerous disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical/I&E, Piping, Operations and Procurement in order to ensure all tagging of turret components aligned in accordance with all design specs, P&IDs, Isometrics Drawings and ICT database for the BP Angola Project.

Assisted engineering management in the interviewing process for potential candidates to join the “Information Collection Team” for the BP Angola Project.

Junior Pipeline Engineer, Universal Ensco/ Pegasus Midstream - Houston, Texas June 2006 – February 2009

Responsible for reviewing and implementing all documentation into job books for initial project construction.

Performed numerous design calculations resulting from data accumulated from reading and interpreting pipeline alignment sheets, induction bends, pipe wall sizing, hydrostatic elevation profiles, and Horizontal Directional Drills.

ENGINEERING ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Jacobs Midstream- Sunvit Midland Pipeline Project. Project included a 20” carbon steel pipeline to be constructed to connect the SunVit Midland Vitol to Sunoco Garden City Station. The pipeline will consist of approximately 27.5 mile long with a design flowrate of (382K BPD) and operate at MOP of 1480PSIG. Results: Completed project and met initial date for construction, June 2015.

Jacobs Upstream-Pecos Gas Plant Project, Hawkville NE

Responsibilities included developing RFQ packages and sending directly to subcontractors for mechanical equipment. Additional roles included identifying and evaluating quotes for technical compliance of mechanical specifications for subcontract orders and coordinating activities associated with their fulfillment, providing technical support on Client trips to Vendor Facilities to ensure proper working function of equipment, taking responsibility as Lead Mechanical Engineer to ensure successful completion of the Hawkville NE Project. Assisted in the design process in order to ensure client demands are met and remain on schedule for all initial start-up dates.

Jacobs Upstream Rangely Oil Gathering System, Chevron

Scope included the evaluation of the commingled of oil and water at (27) collection stations, where it will be sent to two water treatment stations utilizing the produced water line. Three new phase separators are to be installed at both of the water treatment stations. The water from the new separators will be routed to the water tanks before final polishing prior to re-injection. New oil pumps and the new oil pipeline will be installed to transport oil from the new separators to the sales tank at the CPL tank battery. The vapor from the new separators will flow via the LP pipeline to the compressor stations and then to the CO2 plant. The objective was to facilitate turnkey packages associated with the following major equipment: Separators, Pump Packages, Metering Packages and Launcher and Receiver.

Sofec -BP Anglo PSVM FPSO (Block 31) Project

Provided technical expertise to engineering management in improving and implementing ICT software for tagging of all turret assembly equipment associated to FPSO systems. Performed numerous checks on all completed tagged drawings associated with FPSO systems to ensure that all codes, standards and design calculations were in accordance with all design specifications. Results: Completed construction 2012.

Universal Ensco Pipeline -Enterprise Products Hobbs to Lawson Junction Project.

The project included 68 miles of 10” with station modifications at Hobbs Station to upgrade existing pump and provide new metering.

Provided engineering support in reviewing and checking alignment sheets, induction bends, calculating distances from station location to location and hydrostatic elevation profiles. Performed basic design calculations such as pipe wall sizing, hydrostatic test and other various calculations needed for construction. Provided support in reviewing Bill of Materials and checked and created bid evaluations forms. Provided engineering support in reviewing and organizing documentation in job books in order for construction to commence.

Results: Completed project and met initial date for construction 2008.

Universal Ensco Pipeline: Enterprise Products Conway to Ferrellgas Pipeline Project.

The project included 27 miles of 8-inch NGL pipeline between Conway, Kansas and the Hutch Storage Facility near Hutchinson Kansas.

Provided engineering support in reviewing and organizing documentation in job books, procurement correspondences, packing slips, and Material Test Reports needed for construction of the pipeline. Worked with project managers and engineers to ensure that Design Basis Memorandum were updated according to design specifications requested by the clients.

Results: Completed project and met initial date for construction 2007.

Universal Ensco Pipeline: Gulf South East Texas and Mississippi Expansion.

The project included approximately 240 miles of 42- inch high pressure natural gas pipeline. The project included five meter stations for the measurement of receipt and delivery of natural gas transported. Provided engineering support in reviewing documentation such as build plats and Material Test Reports. Performed various engineering calculations such as additional temporary workspace, acreage and milepost footage pertaining to alignment sheets. Formulated job books pertaining to acquired pipeline data accumulated throughout the project.

Results: Completed Construction 2008.

Universal Ensco Pipeline: TransCanada Keystone XL Phase 1.

The project included approximately 500 miles of 36-inch of heavy crude pipeline from Cushing, Oklahoma to TX Gulf Coast near Beaumont. Included on this project is a 50-mile pipeline from Beaumont to Houston, Texas market place. Provided engineering support in constructing additional temporary access roads for all pipeline routes. Collaborated with project managers and engineers in reviewing Horizontal Directional Drills. Results: Completed construction in 2010.

Universal Ensco Pipeline: Enterprise – Project Management (8339) 288 road crossing.

Attended bid showings with project managers in order to discuss various aspects of the layout for the pipeline. Conducted field work, in order to locate pipe mill data for project managers. Results: Completed project and met initial date for construction 2007.
