• Serve as Associate Director to Energize the Chain, a non-profit created by ISTAR and now affiliated with the Rockefeller Foundation, which harnesses cell phone tower energy in the most remote areas of the world to refrigerate and deliver vaccines to underserved populations. Responsibilities include supervising three individuals, establishing and realizing organization’s tactical and strategic goals, managing organization’s finances and legal matters, networking and cultivating partnerships, drafting correspondence, and identifying funding streams.

• Function as ISTAR’s representative to the United Nations (UN), where ISTAR holds special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council and the Human Rights Council. Shepherded ISTAR’s application for consultative status through the rigorous, multi-year vetting process. Duties include submitting white papers, presenting oral testimony, and generally, bringing ISTAR’s expertise to bear on issues relevant to the UN’s mission.

• Act as ISTAR/University of Pennsylvania’s liaison to the International Centre for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence (ICSR) – a unique cross-cultural partnership between ISTAR/University of Pennsylvania, King’s College

(London, England), the Regional Center on Conflict Prevention (Amman, Jordan), and the Inter-Disciplinary Center

(Herzliya, Israel).
