Landing Gear Shop Planner
Duties: Co-ordinate with Production Supervisor and Technicians and Supply Chain the scheduling of incoming and outgoing components for repair or to replace with new ( if necessary ) as they pertained to Landing Gear(s) being Overhauled or for standard repair processing, so to turn around within timeframe of specified contractual obligation(s) for completion and return to customer(s) On-time.
Monitor and input data into Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and company based information system ( Master Matrix ) for review by other required departments.
Also, held weekly ‘status’ meeting to relay information regarding orders potentially late to delivery or not processing due to discrepancies ie: ( lack of inventory, delayed at vendor, unable to procure from supplier(s) or damaged beyond economical repair.
Practiced problem solving to keep customer orders on-track by working with Supply Chain and Supervision and Management to exercise the use of alternative avenues within scope of FAA requirements to allocate and process Repairs / Overhauls effectively and efficiently within timeframe of contractual obligation(s).
Daily information sharing with Technicians to stay on-top of their daily needs and supply requests for needs ( tooling, components, records ) and miscellaneous needs to keep the flow of processing moving in a positive direction.
June 2005 – April 2012: Eaton Aeroquip Coupling Assembly Plant Jackson, MI (eventually reintegrated the Coupling Plant back into the Hose Assembly Plant in May of 2007).
Production Supervisor
Duties: Managed the Coupling Department 2nd Shift ( 2005-2007 ) then moved to 1st Shift in mid- 2008 to manage the Specialty Coupling, Wireworks and Mold/Finish departments. Given the added responsibility of the Rynglok Coupling department in 2011. Managed manpower in these areas by working with the Planning department as to the daily number of Customer orders in the departments. Held daily Shift start meetings (combined) for all departments and held weekly Safety training and Departmental Meetings ( all required ) per the company. Also managed dispersion of allotted ‘vacation time’ for associates (by seniority) and worked closely with Union Representation and HR as to any disciplinary action(s) and Plant Rule violations per the Collective bargaining Agreement. Coordinated with other Supervisors in the facility as to Customer orders that passed through our departments as well. Specialty Coupling consisted of 13 cells each manned by one to two operators depending on their workloads. Assemblies ranged from Fuel Tubes to Frangibles ( break away couplings ) to COV (Change over valve) to Ground refueling couplings ( Fuel Handling). Wireworks assembled multiple large scale of small coupling components first for in-house assembly and others that would ship to distribution warehouses/customers as well as to other Eaton facilities. Mold/Finish departments were responsible for final ops ( added materials and identification markers per blueprint ) before sending to Final Inspection. Rynglok consisted of three separate areas (Blast, Dryfilm and Assembly) and worked along the same line of assembly like the Wireworks department.
May 2004 – June 2005: Eaton Aeroquip Coupling Assembly Plant Jackson, MI
Hourly Union Associate
Duties: To assemble (per blueprint) and pressure test Coupling assemblies for distribution to customers. Used measuring tools (calipers, scale) for some dimensional verification and also monitored pressure gauges on testers to ensure components were tested per the specifications of the Customer blueprint(s). Worked in areas of the Plant according to Seniority. Daily/Weekly 5S duties performed as well.
July 2000 – November 2002: Eaton Aeroquip Hose Assembly Plant Jackson, MI
Hourly Union Associate
Duties: To assemble (per blueprint) Coupling components and pressure testing of Hose assemblies for distribution to customers. Used measuring tools (calipers, scale) for some dimensional verification as required per the specification of the Customer blueprint(s). Worked in areas of Plant by order of Seniority. Daily 5S duties and tasked performed as well.

Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
Duties: Inspection (MIL level) of all incoming components for assembly, by either weight and verifying the description (ie: packing slip, invoice) & use measurement tools ( scale, calipers, micrometer ) to ensure components dimensions matched the specifications of their blueprint. Also some prepare/packaging of Customer Orders for delivery (UPS, FedEx, BOL, Trucking etc ) using computer software and also calling to set-up pick-up and delivery.

Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
Duties: To prepare/ package and ship Customer Orders using various carriers for delivery (UPS, BOL, FedEx, Trucking etc) using computer software and also calling to set-up pick-up and delivery of pallet delivery of large scale equipment multiple times per day/week. Coordinate with Purchasing as to items, quantities and the dimensions of components/equipment.
Qualifications/Skills:
12 - plus years in the Manufacturing environment as an Assembler and Manager of subordinates and managing manpower and resources.
Front Line Leader (200-2012) Managed multiple departments at times reaching 50 subordinates and at times ‘covering’ other departments elevating the number to 100 plus due to absence in Supervision.
Organized multiple file systems ( manual and online ) from Production Tracking, Employee information, Quality Alerts and Training due to number of departments managed.
Championed Daily/Weekly departmental meetings for training and general information and to also discuss/resolve issues pertaining to production either through the creation and establish new processes to improve production and Customer On-time delivery.
Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and some Access. Also, 12 years plus in Front Line Leader and HAZMAT training.
