Overview
Ms. Beech researches, analyzes, retrieves and organizes technical data for all types of Environmental projects. She has a unique ability to organize, prioritize and analyze large amounts of information efficiently in a useful and logical manner. Data includes current and historical, legal and environmental documents, building plans, building records, utility and substructure maps, hazardous waste operations and materials files, facility business plans, industrial waste and underground tank files, oil refinery and general engineering blueprints, litigation files as well as City, County and State records for data inclusion in real estate portfolio transactions on behalf of both buyers and sellers in the public and private sectors, and other environmental projects.
She has developed working relationships with city, county, state and federal agency personnel, and uses her considerable one-on-one relationship building skills to maintain a level of information retrieval beyond a cursory investigation, thereby increasing the client’s ability to make decisions based on all the available information. Discretion, tact and diplomacy are all skills she uses to the projects’ advantage when acting as a liaison between the Company and the agencies.
The data retrieved is generally used for inclusion in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for private industry, developers, and government agencies throughout the United States. Project sites have included vacant parcels, dairy farms, wetlands, commercial and retail complexes, business parks, municipal buildings, warehouses, single family dwellings, multi-tenant residential properties, local schools and universities, fire stations, gas stations, hotels, movie studios, supermarkets, restaurants, acute-care hospitals, medical office buildings, oil refineries, major ports and industrial/manufacturing facilities. She has performed building surveys, architectural surveys, limited asbestos surveys, industrial waste site surveys, land and utility mapping, assessor parcel investigations and chemical investigations. She has also provided field office supply maintenance and sample labeling, lab prep and soil sample delivery and disposal support for various field projects in Southern California. For the past 5 years, she has been expanding her expertise to include soil, air and groundwater technical data management and database entry, detail checking, Quality Assurance (QA) Quality Control (QC), field photo archive file management and database QC for the reporting phase of large scale groundwater remediation and air monitoring projects.
