Greetings,
My name is Shamayara Woodson and attached you will find my resume which describes and highlights my skills and experiences as a social service professional. I have recently relocated to the Atlanta, GA and am currently looking to secure employment
My professional career in social services spans over fifteen years, I am no stranger to hard work and have proven my work ethics to be both effective and dependable in providing support to clients and organizations in need. Serving individuals and families has become one of life’s greatest rewards in my years of experience. My work in the social service field has allowed me to develop and cultivate skills to become an efficient professional with impeccable skills in counseling, supervisory management, intake assessments, conflict and crisis de-escalation, organization, accurate record keeping, oral and written communication, program and curriculum development and evaluation in addition to having an empathic and compassionate manner towards the people I serve.
Through direct and group assessment, I am able to assess and identify challenges, research viable resources, treatment and solutions. Providing detailed and task oriented goals for case managers, clients and their families/support systems are developed using person-centered therapy in addition to the Sanctuary Model. I have extensive history working with children, youth and adolescents, men and women in residential, school and outpatient environments in addition to many citywide agencies able to provide housing and social service resources. I have also acquired and crafted my skill for being able to identify organizational problems, develop workable solutions while motivating those experiencing change.
I have developed and sharpened my supervisory skills through the supervision of 5-8 case managers over a three year time span providing quality and accurate reporting to city and state funders, case notes and note taking workshops and supervision while reporting directly to the Case Manager Director. My experience as an outpatient therapist allows the unique ability to understand the delicate balance of meeting company/organizational goals and the needs of the families and community that I serve. Community involvement is essential to any well rounded professional and by serving on various boards, ministries and organizations I continue to gain valuable experience working with diverse populations. I find working and helping people who I encounter a rewarding career that I have committed my life to excelling in. Salary is open for negotiation.
I would like to set up an interview that is mutually convenient for you and I to further discuss how I can be an asset to your organization and its clients.
Best Regards,
Ms. Shamayara M. Woodson, MHS
