Oversee sheet metal forming team that design, simulate, fabricate and test the metal forming tools and parts
Involved in a various industrial project like design of turnstile system (for Godrej and Boyce), Develop Strain non-uniformity Index based failure criteria (For Volkswagen AG), manufacturing of beverage can by tractrix die etc.
Perform standard experimental test like tensile test, compression test, Nakazima test, cup test etc. on hydraulic press, Universal testing machine, fly press, shearing machine
Design and fabricate sheet metal forming tools for benchmark test
Sheet metal forming simulation of benchmark problem, automotive external parts and structural parts like bump aperture, bonnets, roofs, doors, B-pillar, roof cross member etc
AutoForm and Pam-Stamp softwares are used for Forming Analysis and Unigraphics-8.0 is used for CAD modelling
Analysis of Simulation results with experimental data obtained from shopfloor
Measurement of strain distribution on deformed part by conventional method and advanced technique
Perform experiment on a sophisticated instrument like GOM (Argus and Aramis), CMM, 3D scanner, CAM Scope etc.

In the project, we did static stress analysis by using ANSYS 12.0 software and identified critical stress zone in roll cage
Mounted Strain Gauges at critical stress zones then identified stress values at these locations and compared these experimental results with simulation results obtained from ANSYS
