Project Manager - Pipelines & Facilities Engineering in Asset Development 2013 - 2015 Statoil Houston, TX

Provided project management expertise for unconventional development in Marcellus/Utica Asset managing pipeline gas gathering system projects ranging in $50MM - $100MM in capital expenditure. Managed projects throughout project lifecycle from scope definition, AFE preparation and execution planning to route selection and ROW acquisition, detailed engineering, permitting, HAZOP review, procurement, and construction execution and commissioning.

Performed project scope definition and schedule planning in conjunction with full field development planning. Acted as lead facilitator engaging with project stakeholders and team members including Statoil Midstream Group, Field Dev Planning, Drilling and Completions, Subsurface, Operations, Safety and Sustainability Unit, Supply Chain, Land, Inspection Personnel and Consulting Engineering to develop project objectives and execution planning.

Managed Southern Monroe County, Ohio Pipelines Project with capital costs at $80MM. Project attributes consisted of 6.5 miles of ROW with six line services for L.P. and H.P. gas, condensate, produced water, treated water and freshwater (frac water) and included carbon steel pipe, HDPE and Zap-Lok piping, along with a fiber optic network SCADA system. Managed Ohio River Pump Station Project ($5MM) to provide frac water for well completion purposes.

Conducted Lessons Learned Sessions and Project Look-Backs to identify areas of improvements. Identified project best practices in areas such as project scope development and planning, risk assessment, roles and responsibilities, design standardization, engineering deliverables and project controls and status reporting.

Performed a lead role for conducting an organizational study to assess the company’s capability to plan, execute and deliver capital projects across the global portfolio. Acted as liaison with Westney Consulting Group to facilitate data gathering and analysis to provide a qualitative review of the company’s organizational structure effectiveness, project team competencies, decision making processes, project controls and assurance programs.

Engaged with consultant group Independent Project Analysis (IPA) to conduct individual project evaluations to perform quantitative benchmarking assessments to measure projects completed and give indication of ongoing project expectant performance. Provided project management and engineering expertise to client operator companies to support projects from Front- End-Loading and execution planning, cost estimating, to detailed engineering activities and construction management and system commissioning.

Managed and supported projects by overseeing and directing internal cross-functional engineering and CAD design teams and interfacing with client project managers to provide engineering deliverables including detailed design drawing packages (PFD’s, P&ID’s, Alignment Sheets, E&S Plans, Piping Plan and Cross Sectional dwgs, 3D Models, Isometrics, and BOM’s), flow assurance and flow modeling, hydraulic and stress analysis calculations, MAOP calcs, equipment and material selection in addition to onsite construction support and contractor oversight.

Supported projects at petroleum products and crude oil storage and distribution terminals and pipelines as well as pipeline integrity management programs and repair projects. Engineered and designed new systems and upgrades ranging from skid based equipment designs, pump systems, separation and storage vessels and tankage loading/offloading equipment, launchers/receivers, custody transfer meter installations, instrumentation and valve and piping systems.

Project Engineer in Facilities Engineering Group

2007 - 2008 Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P. Orange, CA

Managed projects by overseeing and coordinating initial planning and scope definition, submitting cost forecasts and AFE requests and handling permitting requirements. Duties also included detailed engineering, material procurement, cost control and accrual reporting, project scheduling, construction management and project commencement.

Completed Eugene, OR Terminal major expansion project ($3.5MM) with an accelerated schedule to comply with state mandated ethanol blending fuel requirements. Project consisted of load rack modifications and upgrades, storage tank conversion and fire protection system upgrades and installation of an automated ethanol offloading system.

Other projects included biodiesel blending, underground storage tank removal and replacement, vapor recovery upgrades, additive system conversion, and water draw piping upgrades.

Coordinated construction scheduling and sequencing consisting of rack and pipeline shutdown synchronization, tie-in procedures and safety planning and execution.

Field Engineer in Reservoir Performance Monitoring & Completion Tools 2005 - 2007 Halliburton Energy Services Group Bakersfield, CA

Deployed Fiber Optic Distributed Temperature Sensors for permanent and retrievable monitoring operations to gather down-hole information. Data uses included stimwatch, steamflood management, casing damage identification, fluid entry point identification, and per zone quantification.
