Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA), Sacramento, CA

Construction Manager, July 1999- August 2007

Participated in the betterment of Sacramentos Capitol Area, through construction-related

improvements to commercial and residential properties. Responsible for the 5-year needs

assessment, development and implementation of CADAs Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

Duties: Properties condition assessments, technical reports writing and management of

the CIP Program. Managed construction documents preparation, bidding process and selection

of contractors. Supervised construction, conducted onsite meetings and inspections, coordinated

schedules and budgets, and directed activities to ensure compliance with construction documents

and regulations. Prepared and presented reports to CADA board and stakeholders.

Experience with Cal-OSHA regulations, prevailing wage law, ASTM standards, HUD

procedures. Coordinated projects development with, authorities having jurisdictions, lenders,

tenants and stakeholders. Established great working relations with State, City and lenders

officials. Received several recognitions and awards.

Completed projects that improved the area: Inn Off Capitol park motel rehabilitation,

Relocation of the art nouveau 17 & N building, The Fremont building and Capitol Park

homes new construction, 1500 Q Street post-fire restauration, 17th Street Commons

renovation financed by CHFA and SHRA, CADA warehouse (at 11 and R) brownfield

cleanup financed by US EPA. Managed the rehabilitation of the historical Auslander building,

Palm mansion, Sams Market, others. Represented CADA in the development and

completion of the East end Office Complex, LEED certification.
