My name is Steven Copeland.

I have been a Machinist and Certified Welder for over 30 years.

I owned and operated an Aerospace Machining Facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 34 years.

That included two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Approved Repair Stations, one of which was JAA Approved. Our facilities were AS / ISO Certified and Registered, with three Divisions.

I purchased my first CNC Turning Center in 1987. I enrolled in Okuma Programming School and began my programming career.

In 1992 I purchased my first Five (5) Axis Vertical / Horizontal Machining Center. To do five axis simultaneous tool motions normal to the surface I needed a better programming system and decided to acquire Camax Command (UNIX) that operated on a SGI Engineering Workstation platform.

Over the years I have had the pleasure of working on many satisfying Programs and projects.

During my 34 plus years, our Facility made piece parts, components, and assemblies for Major Prime Contractors. Since 1972 I have satisfied long term contracts for Boeing and McDonnell Douglas with parts on every Commercial and Military aircraft in Boeing’s and McDonnell Douglas’s fleet of aircraft from 1972 until 2005.

Other programs included:

Boeing 707, 727, 737, 747, MD 80, 757, 767, 777 programs / for over thirty years, MIR Space Station, ISS International Space Station program over ten years, B29, DC 3, F14, F15, F16, F18, FA 18, F 111, C 17, KC 135, B1 Bomber, B2 Bomber, Global Hawk programs with Rockwell Int., Tier 1, and Tier 2 Supplier to Boeing (BAG). Rocketdyne, Pratt & Whitney (Jet Engines), General Electric (Jet Engines), General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Chromalloy, Flight Safety (Flight Simulators), George Moody Enterprises (Flight Simulators) United Space Alliance, Department of Defense, and all Defense Supply Centers.

I have extensive experience in Machining, Manufacturing, Programming, Quality Assurance, Inspection, Research and Development, AS / ISO Certification & retention, writing processes, procedures, FAA Repair Station Operations, Auditing, Negotiating long term Master Order Agreements and Contracts with Tier One Suppliers / Vendors.
