Project Pipeline Engineer: Pipeline project engineer assigned to four (4) Williams Purity Pipeline Projects of approximately 150 miles of varies sizes of small diameter new build pipelines within the gulf coast region of Texas designed to carry several types of petrochemicals to and from area plant facilities. The majority of these pipelines shall be designed & installed in very close proximity of foreign pipelines within congested pipeline right-of-ways, including Center Point, ExxonMobil Pipeline Corridor and areas throughout the Houston Ship Channel. Along with my project pipeline engineering design responsibility of the pipeline systems, I was also responsible for a supervisory role of managing a young engineering team to complete varies pipeline engineering assignments, such as pipeline routing, pipe calculations, horizontal directional drill design, crossing designs, station piping layout, stress analysis, hydraulic analysis, alignment sheet development, cathodic protection design, AC mitigation, class location studies, project schedule updates and many other pipeline engineering related activities.

Project Manager: Currently a project manager assigned to manage all aspects of the project including detail design, procurement and installation of over 30 capital maintenance projects for Panhandle Energy, ranging from $250,000 to $10,000,000 in cost. Projects consist of meter & regulation facilities, pipelines, launcher & receiver installations, pipeline relocations, equipment change outs and various other gas pipeline installation efforts. Previously, managed multiple design & installation interconnect and meter station projects for Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP. Worked inside Boardwalk’s Houston offices as a member of their Pipeline Interconnect group as a consultant charged with managing all aspects of design and installation including but not limited to procurement, permits, fabrication and engineered two meter stations, interconnects and laterals. Managed, designed and installed meter station modifications for Boardwalk’s Enogex Bennington meter station in Oklahoma. This project came in under budget and on time. Also, managed the design and installation of a grass root meter station, interconnect, pipeline lateral and 2,000 feet of permanent access roadway for Entergy’s Power Plant in Attala County, Mississippi. Both projects held the project manager accountable for man-hours, cost and existing budgets.

Senior Project Technical Professional (Pipeline Unit): Lead Pipeline Project Engineer for Reliant Energy – Napoleonville Salt Dome Project, my responsibilities consisted of detail design of several pipeline installations within the swamps of southern Louisiana, route selection, pipeline design, and meter and interconnects designs. Developed typical environmental and installation design drawings for the pipeline unit.

Additional pipeline project duties included pump station design, meter design and writing bid documents for construction contracts and material acquisitions. Responsible for the engineering design of two pump stations, tank farm terminal piping and related facilities. The project included meters/provers, booster pumps, terminal piping, pipe manifolds, launchers/receivers and 5,250 HP of centrifugal pumps with VFD drivers and synchronized switching.

06/98 – 02/99 Pipeline Field Engineer: As field engineer representing TransColorado Gas Transmission Company on their TransColorado Natural Gas Pipeline Project; my responsibilities encompassed overseeing all technical engineering issues pertaining to approximately 272 miles of 22-inch & 24-inch gas pipeline installation and construction of all pipeline appurtenances. Additional tasks included pipeline completion verifications, final field verification of design on all above ground appurtenances, field pipeline design changes, field inspections, site design changes, and communicating directly with the construction contractors on all technical issues pertaining to design changes and construction specifications.

06/97 – 06/98 Sr. Pipeline Engineer: Duties included detail pipeline design of 272 miles of 22-inch & 24-inch natural gas pipeline for the TransColorado Pipeline Project located along the western slope of Colorado. My design responsibilities were comprised of the following assignments; pipeline routing, line pipe wall thickness selection, railway, highway & road crossing designs, line pipe distribution, site specific & steep slope installation design, horizontal directional drill design, road & highway construction plans, major river crossing designs, temporary bridge, culvert & flume designs, fabricated assembly design, and extra workspace & ancillary site design and selection. All design issues were environmentally sensitive and were in compliance with all federal, state and local permitting agencies.
