Reported to the President of Patrick Engineering Inc. and managed a staff of four employees (Talent Manager, two HRBPs, and an Executive Assistant). Led the change management efforts and served on the acquisition team for the executive management team endeavoring to complete a management buy-out (MBO) of the company, which ultimately was unsuccessful, leading to my departure from the company. Reported directly to the President of Chevron Energy Solutions with a dotted line relationship to the HR General Manager of Technology & Service, and managed a staff of five employees (OC Manager, OC Analyst, HRBP, HR Assistant, and a HR Development Program participant). Was a member of the Chevron Leadership Team, Management Committee, Operational Excellence Leadership Team, and Global Technology & Service HR Leadership Team. Led the Recognition & Award Committee. Served as a partner to leaders covering strategic and tactical HR for sales, marketing, and engineering, personnel. Developed and led the subsidiary’s HR function covering benefits, compensation, performance management, employee relations, training, recruiting, legal compliance, talent management, and policy deployment for sales, engineering, project management, construction management and support personnel. Viron, a subsidiary of Consumers Energy, was an energy engineering firm specializing in performance contracting, which provided energy services such as delivering energy efficiency, conservation, and power system solutions to public institutions and businesses. The company had 250+ employees in 22 states across the U.S.

Implemented retention strategies, resulting in 100% retention of critical staff during the divestiture of Viron assets to Chevron Energy Solutions. Personal efforts were cited for the retention rate and positive employee morale during continuous change.

The company is the research and development center for the Chemical Coatings Division and the Industrial & Marine Coatings Division of The Sherwin-Williams Company.

Fostered positive employee relations and utilized proactive union avoidance strategies to thwart a union organizing campaign at the Columbia Operations.

Assisted in the receipt and maintenance of QS-9000 (a quality standard for automotive industry) certification at the Columbia Operations and the Athens, Tennessee Operations.
