WORK EXPERIENCE
NACA 0012 Airfoil's Field Establishment - February 2015 to February 2015 Calculated the heat transfer parameter about a 3-D solid model with specific initial and boundary condition through two methods: Matlab Code Analysis and Fluent Modeling.
• Determined the temperature for all point and comparing the accuracy between two methods. NACA 0012 Airfoil's Field Establishment (September 2014)
• Generated about 240 thousand grids around the airfoil and built the boundary layer around the foil, modified and controlled area ration is under 1.02 and length ratio is under 1.2 by Pointwise.
• Imported the grid into StarCCM+, chose the type of flow and set the iterative errors to make sure the result is convergent, simulated airfoils lift and drag coefficients with different AOA. Vortex Shedding Phenomenon behind a Circular Cylinder - May 2014 to May 2014 Investigated the vortex shedding phenomenon in a water channel by using the Particle Image Velocimetry under five different Reynolds numbers.
• Determined the contours of velocity and vortex profile, as well as the Strouhal number; Proper Orthogonal Decomposition method is used during the data processing with Matlab code. Wind Tunnel - March 2014 to March 2014

Designed a low speed wind tunnel experiment to determine the lift, drag and moment about the airfoil by two methods: pressure transducer experience and force balance experience.
• Discussed the stall number, 3-D effect, as well as the relationship with the angle of attack. Identification of Low Frequency Oscillation in Power System - November 2012 to March 2013 Dealt with the ideal signal, noisy signal and simulation signal to determine corresponding damping ratio and oscillation angular frequency & amplitude using Matlab code.
• Used matrix method based on measured low frequency oscillation data which can get more accuracy, fast and strong anti-noise result compared with the traditional analytical methods.
• Tested this matrix method applied to online monitoring of large-scale power system oscillation modes and adapting to find the weak damping region and correctly identify the failure area. Boiler Primary Air Fan - February 2012 to May 2012 February 2012 - May 2012)
• Discussed three methods to operate the primary fan in a power plant: operating single primary air fan, using a variable-speed operation and operating with the cut fan blades.
• Calculated the efficiency about primary fan and shaft power when operating with full capacity and smaller capacity, choosing the second method is the best way to improve the primary fan efficiency, reduce the shaft power and ensure the power plant safety.
