TITLE: DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE STUDY OF NEW FLAT PLATE COLLECTOR.

Project Theme:

The objective of this project is to do investigation on solar water heating system with low cost and maximum collector efficiency. In this project work we eliminated the absorber plate and replaced copper tube arrangement by fabrication of copper box as a flat plate collector with higher heat collection surface area by changing its geometry with the same space of convention flat plat collector through which water is flow. The results show after experimental work, the maximum outlet temperature of the new flat plate solar water heater is 700C to 770 C which is 12 % more than the conventional flat plat solar water heater.
